Sam had gotten earwormed with Christmas music on his way to the library, and he was still humming as he opened the place up and got settled at the front desk.

Sam hummed as he got all of the returned books checked back in.

Sam hummed as he went through his e-mail and cleared out all the really bad spam.

The library was closed for only part of third period, as Sam left for class and came right back.

The library was closed for lunch to everyone except Thursday, the other aides, and Dean, because Sam knew better by now.

Sam hummed as he checked the package tracking on all of his Christmas presents, trying to make sure they'd get to Fandom on time.

Sam hummed as he took a long sweep through the library to make sure he had everything cleaned up before he locked up.

Oh daytime availability, how I have missed you! *offers shirtless Sam to those in the midst of finals*

...that does make me feel a lot better about my finals.

Can those of us who don't have finals still enjoy the shirtlessness?

Peter came in with coffee and donuts. He paused when he heard Sam humming. "If I get that stuck in my head I'm getting revenge on you, and it won't be pretty."

Sam response was to simply hum louder. "Maybe if I get it stuck in your head, it'll get out of mine."

"Do you really want to annoy the guy who's got caffiene and sugar?" Peter replied.

Sam got quiet, and put on his most innocent look. "No, I guess not. I'm sorry, please don't take my caffeine back."

"I suppose I can forgive you." Peter held out the second cup of coffee for Sam to take. "So how was your weekend?"

"Good," Sam said, taking the coffee and holding it close to himself. "It was pretty low-key. How was yours?"

"Same," Peter said. "Got some online shopping done. Talked with Nathan about plans for the holidays."

"Oh? You guys have any good plans?" Sam asked.

"Quiet time spent with family... that's going to be interrupted by however many parties Ma thinks she needs to throw or drag us to," Peter replied. "I may try to take advantage of the invisibility there."

Sam laughed. "I guess that's one benefit to having a dad who isn't very social," he said. "But that's a good use for the invisibility."

"Ma and Nathan love it," Peter said. He took a bite of donut. "Me? I like parties with friends."

"You're not big on randomly socializing with people you hardly know?" Sam teased. "I can't imagine why."

"Hate small talk, hate the fakeness." Peter made a face. "Hate the people who pretend to be friends."

"Do you get that a lot?" Sam asked. "People who want to pretend like they're close to your family, I mean?"

Peter shrugged, looking self-conscious. "Depends on the setting."

"Well, at least you know you don't have to worry about that here," Sam said.
