Library [Sunday, 11-18]

There was someone unfamiliar in the library today, making himself familiar with books he'd long thought forgotten. It was still quiet, still had that same old feeling and those same old feelings.

He missed this library.

[Yes, there was a post earlier but I couldn't resist aging him up.]

It shouldn't have been a shock to anyone to find Hermione wandering down to the library, if no other reason than to see what had changed, and whether Special Collections had taken over at any point.

"I should hope so," she said with a quick glance over at him. "It looks the exact same!"

"And yet it's Fandom, which means the library was probably preserved in its former state for some reason," Hermione said. "Now I wonder if there's anything written on that sort of thing."

Yep. Still a nerd.

"Just for fun," she replied, thinking this was perfectly normal.

"Look, it's rare I get to do this sort of thing just out of curiosity anymore," she explained. "Forgive me, I'm not sure who you are."

"Oh, that's right. Hermione..." She paused, and said, "Well, I suppose anyone here would know me as Hermione Granger."

Thursday arrived and frowned when she saw someone unfamiliar in the library. It wasn't entirely unexpected since people from town were allowed up here (even if they never came), but there should have at least been an aide here. Whose day was it anyway? "Can I help you?" she asked, approaching tentatively.

She was still going to be kicking ass at 110. It was a blessing and a curse. "Of course, help yourself. If you want to take anything with you, I can check the books out for you. I'm not exactly sure where my aide got to today."

"You were an aide?" She hadn't known that the school had been around that long. In fact, she was pretty sure it hadn't. That was the first inkling that something was amiss. Maybe it was one of those strange timestream situations. Plus, he had known her name.

The pieces were slowly being put together. He knew her. He was a library aide from '20 years ago' when the school, to her knowledge, wasn't here. Sunday was his day and he was here on a Sunday when... "Lee?"

"Commander? Congratulations." She only knew a little about his background, but the Commander was a surprise. It made sense given the twenty years he claimed. "What brings you back here?" She assumed it was 'back' even though she hadn't realised he'd left.

Reunion. Maybe there were others here too, if that was the case. Thursday went from being slightly befuddled and wondering whether she should inform someone to being amused that, despite the last week, Fandom had bounced back to its usual insane self. Well, almost. She thought it best to play along as it often was. "If you can remember your way around, you're welcome to it. I'll be sure to have a word to my aide about showing up when he's suppose to when I next see him." If she saw him as a teenager again. "I'd love to stay and chat, but I'd best be getting back to Friday."
