Library [11/15]

Thursday arrived early again on Thursday, setting Friday up in her office. After yesterday's news, she was more than concerned and kept checking on Friday more than was really necessary. She broke from the usual library rules today by making sure there was plenty of coffee, other drinks and food to go around for anyone who wanted to stop by.

After a yesterday spent delving through his alchemy books to try to see if there was anything about alchemical sicknesses, he made his way down to the library to pull out more books on science and disease.

A stack of reports fell down in front of Ed.

The tall, half-metal man who was crossing his arms might have something to do with it.

"It's a long story," Cable replied smoothly, then segued without preamble into, "I need you to look through those in search of any anomalies."

"Wasn't asking for your life history," Ed shot back. He pulled reports over to him and began paging through. "These are all municipal reports. From Fandom. They're going to be full of anomalies." He frowned slightly at the first one. "Huh. Okay."

"The current standing theory says we might be dealing with magic residue from this island's past," Cable expositioned thoroughly. "Something that might have appeared when the school was destroyed. Find me if you find anything out of the ordinary."

Ed was absorbed in flipping through the pages, but he heard every word. "Guy with the weird automail, got it."

Without responding to the name, Cable turned around and stalked back into the fray.
