Library [11/12]

Sam had enjoyed being at John and Aeryn's wedding over the weekend, but now that he was back and in school mode, he was thinking about his vision again, and what it might have meant. Luckily, he just so happened to have a whole library of books at his disposal today.

Sam picked the chocolate donut and shook his head. "Not yet. I've been keeping an eye out for anything weird though. I'm just afraid I'm not going to know until whatever happens happens."

"Can I offer my help?" Peter asked. "Not to get in yours and Dean's way or anything. Just - if you need it, it's yours."

"I don't know how much you can directly help," Sam admitted. "But if you see anything strange going on, will you tell me?"

"Considering where we live, do you wanna narrow that down?"

Sam laughed quietly. "That might help, huh? If you see people gathering for something, maybe? Or if anyone's upset about something unusual? It's all still vague in my head."

"I can keep an eye out," Peter promised. "Think you can keep me in the loop if you get another vision?"

"I can, if you want. I always go to Dean first, 'cause I promised him that," Sam said. "But I can make sure to tell you too."

"Understood," Peter said. "There's some things Nathan gets first crack on."

"I figured you'd understand," Sam said. "I'm kind of glad you were there the other day. It was good to have a friend nearby when I snapped out of it."

"I was glad I could be there for you," Peter said. He smiled. "Glad I could be a friend."

"You're very good at it," Sam said.

"I've had practice," Peter replied.

Sam smiled softly. "I'm sorry if I freaked you out though. That wasn't my intention, believe me."

"I wasn't freaked, Sam," Peter said. "Just worried about you. It's part of being someone's friend."

"I never know how someone will react to the visions. I just wasn't sure," he said. "I'm sorry that I worried you then."

"I strike you as somebody who'd react badly to that kind of thing?" Peter asked, raising his eyebrows at Sam.

"You strike me as somebody who hasn't seen me have a vision, so I didn't know what to expect," Sam replied.

"Of course," Peter said. "Because based on previous experience you can tell I'm a closed-minded jackass."

"That's not what I meant," Sam replied. "I didn't think you'd be close-minded, just...there's a difference between me telling someone that I get visions sometimes, and having them witness it."

"Sam," Peter said, very patiently, "I can fly."

"But flying doesn't hurt," Sam replied.

"Point is I'm used to dealing with things that are out of the norm," Peter said.

Sam smirked, and looked embarrassed. "I guess I'm not that far out of the norm, comparatively."

"Hate to break it to you, but nope," Peter said, teasing. "But don't worry. You're interesting in other ways."

"Good interesting?" Sam said hopefully.
