When Lee got to the classroom today, there was a note on the door written in what appeared to be very shaky, very scared handwriting.

Fleeing the crazy.

Will return when threat passes.

Lee stared at the note for a long time and then shook his head before going into the classroom and trying to think of SOMETHING to do.

When everyone started filing in and settled down, Lee said, "Ares went and got married this weekend." Hey, he was in control. "To some girl name Rowena. I think they're on their honeymoon now or something. Make sure to wish him well when he gets back. He didn't leave us anything to do so I'm going to make something up. As a lot of you saw, I got stuck to the side of the dorms in my underwear last week by a teacher who you all should call grandmother when you see her. And then tell her I told you too."

What the hell, right?

"Anyway, that leads to the big question. Boxers or briefs? Or nothing? For girls...well, I don't know what underwear girls wear so the girls can figure that out? Why's one better than the other? Why would anyone for a frakking thong? And what the frak is up with this planet's obsession with thongs?"

Lee really shouldn't make things up off the top of his bed.

"No modeling though. Ares might reappear as soon as that happened and that'd be creepy. Oh, and if anyone would like to bitch about Parent's Weekend, we can do that too. We probably need to."

And then Lee sat down at the desk and waited for the discussions.

[OCD is ~~coming~~ up! I'm a little weird this morning.]

"I think you can give up on the tape line. It's not like we're paying attention to it anyway," she whispered.

"Well yeah, that's because you have sense." He paused. "Most of the time."

"How long until you let this go?"

"Probably going to be a while yet," Dean confided.

"Anything I can do to minimize it?" She asked hopefully.

"Would it make me a bad person if I said grovel?"

"Yes, but that doesn't make it undoable. Anything in particular you're looking for in a good grovel?"

"Well, for one... letting me take your boyfriend away for the weekend?" Dean said.

"Hunting?" Hey, she didn't want them injured either.

"Maybe. Roadtrip. We're going to see where our noses lead us."

Dawn began compiling a mental list of people who could either provide bail money or help her break them out of prison. Not surprisingly, the second list was longer. "Sure. Have fun. I'm probably going to spend the weekend applying to colleges anyway, which'll be easier if Sam's not there."

"I'd like to say forget college and join the Winchester Family Business, but your sister would probably appear out of thin air and beat me down."

"Telling her I wanted to be a Watcher was bad enough, thanks," she sulked for an entirely new (at least for this conversation) reason this time. "Plus, not sure how Sam would take it."

"College, you being a Watcher or the family business?"

She thought about that for a minute. "Maybe all three, depending on where I go to college?"

"Between the Impala and the portals you can get here, he should be able to visit all the time unless you're going to some weird no portal no roads college," Dean said. "And he was hunting vampires with you and your slayer this weekend," he added, "so I'm thinking both watching and hunting aren't really going to come as a big shock."

Dawn very prudently (she thought) didn't mention Oxford to Dean. "Not a shock, but not really normal, and pretty dangerous. I don't know if he'll be happy about it at all."

"Sammy and I, we're not exactly poster children for normality ourselves," Dean pointed out. "And when you know what's in the dark, you can't just pull the blanket over your head and pretend it's not real. That's more dangerous than facing things head on."

"I know that. Because then you can be surprised, in a very bad way." She just wasn't completely convinced that Sam felt the same.

"Exactly. And you know your stuff, Dawn. You'd be awesome as a hunter. Or as a watcher if that's what you want to do."

Dawn smiled. "Thanks. That means a lot, especially from you."

"Doesn't mean I don't want the chance to be there to watch your back the next time you have to go hunting, mind you," Dean added.

"I get it, I get it," she rolled her eyes.

"If it makes you feel any better, Alec's going to have to put up with me holding the going away and leaving a note thing over his head for a lot longer," Dean offered.

"Not so much, no. Though that is really bad form."
