NNSE, Monday, Period 1 [9AM-10AM] [Oct 8]

When the sex ed class arrived in the classroom today, they would find that, on each desk, there was a pencil and a sheet of paper. Lulu was in her accustomed pose, leaning against the front of her desk.

"Good morning, class," she began. "As I said last week, today we are having our first test. It's really quite simple; you are to list one thing you have learned in this class, followed by a brief description of it, and two ways in which you can apply this to your own life.

"You have one hour; you may leave if you finish early. You may begin."

[OOC: Plz to be waiting for OCD is up! Responses may be NWS, given the class and topics, so read with caution if necessary.]

River thought for a moment. Just one thing was difficult. She had had a general idea of most of the subjects taught so far, but there had certainly been things taught she didn't know. So rather than chosing one, she chose three different ones, added that the general attitude to the subject of the class was very helpful, and unfortunately she had not had the opportunity to apply as much of this to her life as she would have liked due to lack of partner, although the parts not requiring a partner had certainly been inspiring.

One thing she'd learned? Ino tapped her pencil against her cheek thoughtfully before putting down that she'd definitely appreciated the class on learning about her own body, and that the foreplay one was fascinating in retrospect. And covering modern methods of preventing contraception had been highly informative and that she was enjoying the way Miss Lulu was teaching this class - even when it made her too embarrassed to speak up.

The lecture on contraceptives was definitely something Rikku learned. She hadn't applied it to her own life yet, but if she did, she'd know how to, and that was the whole point, right?

Inara wrote at great length about the primitiveness of the contraception of this period of time and comparision with that of her own, but also detailed her appreciation for the frank and mature nature of discussion on the topics they'd covered so far.

It went on for a while.

Katara wrote about contraception. And the fact that learning such things with your brother in the class was kinda embarrassing.

Sokka wrote about how he had learned that self... self- was perfectly okay and normal and natural, whatever certain old ladies might have to say about it causing body parts to dry up and fall off.

And he very, VERY carefully hid his paper from everyone else in the class, and turned bright red.

Anemone wrote out a very long thank-you letter to Miss Lulu, talking about how much she'd liked the class so far, because she'd never known any of the science-y fact stuff, like anatomy, before. She also talked about how much she liked the foreplay class, and thanked Lulu for the totally handwaved packet on birth control myths.

Ron just did that anatomy thing. Which he only did an average job on because quite frankly he was too embarrassed to write anything in detail.

Jo wrote a long and detailed answer about safe sex techniques.

Oddly she included a section on parents with firearms being a valid form with the justification it stopped the actual having of sex.

Jack handwaved an essay about the importance of birth control. And wrote a bit about myths. Like she can't get pregnant if she jumps up and down after sex (which totally seems like it'd work and that's just how Things Were Done where he's from but if that's what the teacher says?).

He's trying not to blush. It's not working.

It didn't take that long to finish the test, so River spent the rest of the class eavesdropping on the other students' thoughts.

If River happened to eavesdrop on Rikku, she might pick up a strange whirl of melancholy that had to do with wondering about ghosts, worrying about Hamlet, and missing Jude.

Rikku waited until class was over before walking up to Lulu. "So, uh, how have you ... been?"

Rikku failed at seeming casual.
