When the Ethics class arrived in the Danger Shop, they stepped into an entirely different world.

An incredibly dry, hot one. That smelled really bad.

Anakin waved his hand around the room. "Welcome to the embodiment of gluttony," he said, "the palace of a Hutt."

He concentrated on the controls on the far side of the room, and the simulation sprung to life: dozens of beings drinking, eating, and dancing, with all activity centered around a vile slug of a beast laying on the raised dais at the front of the room.

In a place of honor on the wall was a man, face twisted in a silent scream, encased in silver. Anakin ignored it as he walked past to point at the creature on the dais. "That," he said, nose wrinkling in disgust, "is a Hutt. This particular version was named Jabba, one of the most powerful crime lords in the galaxy." A grim smile turned the corners of his mouth up. "At least until he met my children."

He shook his head. "That is neither here nor there. Today is an interactive experience for you, class. Take a good hard look around. See the effects that gluttony can have."

His eyes went flat. "Touch any of the dancing girls and you'll regret it. That's a promise."

Ino, wearing a shirt that was way, way too large for her and looking pleased with herself about it, glanced around and winced. "Someone," she said firmly, "needs to get a new interior decorator. This is just sad."

Kabuto glanced at her, scowling briefly before he could cover it with a false smile. "Someone," he said, echoing her tone, "needs to wear her own clothing. Or did you run out of clean laundry and don't have your mother around to wash your clothes for you?"

He'd hid it quickly, but Ino had been watching for it. The scowl? Definitely noted.

"It's a souvenir," Ino said airily, smoothing the shirt down her sides, "of a particularly memorable weekend."

"Meaning I have one as well," Kabuto replied, shrugging. "Oh well. I've never kept trophies before, but it might make a good rag should I have to deal with something bloody."

... damn. Ino hadn't even noticed one of her ~~million~~ many shirts had gone missing. Her eyes narrowed briefly before she smiled again.

"A pity you can't wear it. Such a waste of good cloth." She looked him up and down, "Or perhaps you'd wear it bloody?"

"I've no aversion to blood," Kabuto told her, a slight smirk on his face. "Just ask Tsunade-sama. But I'm not planning to wear your shirt." His smirk broadened. "I have enough clothes of my own, without having to try to fit into those of a stick-skinny, flat-chested boy-girl."

Oh. He was dead.

... as soon as they were out of class. She had the feeling that attempted murder would piss off Master Skywalker.

"Harsh words coming from someone who described me as 'very pretty'." Ino ground out, "Perhaps your memory is faulty?"

"Not anymore. It was then; that probably explains everything." Kabuto smiled at her, pleased that he'd hit the right nerve. "If you'd like your shirt back non-bloody, you're welcome to come by after class."

"Maybe I'll see you then," Ino said coolly, "Wouldn't want the clothing of a stick-skinny, flat-chested boy-girl to bother you or anything. You're so sensitive as it is."

"I am," Kabuto agreed, his voice taunting. "See you then, if you're willing."
