Journalism Class - Thursday September 29

The screens in Spider’s classroom this morning are showing various scenes from around the school and school grounds. Various students are in the study hall, walking between the buildings, arguing, making out… just another average morning.

Spider’s desk is covered in maps and there are semi-transparent displays clustered around him as he rummages. Before the desk, on an easel, is the following notice.

Students:

Today we’re going to discuss the student election process because, to date, I haven’t seen any process at all. Do the candidates have stated public platforms yet? Have there been debates scheduled? Do we have a date for the elections themselves? What, exactly, are the duties and powers for the various positions?

Discuss and/or ferret out the answers.

((OOC: There will be a later post regarding tomorrow’s field trip. I have to go back and check who signed up to go and whether they all really have turned in their permission slips. I also have to go back and respond to students in yesterday’s class because last night got a little out of hand so I didn’t get back to that – and my deepest apologies.))

"Oh, okay." Jake looks down at her notes (http://www.livejournal.com/users/courier_gavin/7798.html). "I'm the worst reporter ever," she sighs, looking back up. "Anything else I should be asking you about? Although really, I just wanted to know about the coffee."

Rory laughs. "Well, I have an entire diner's worth stashed in my dorm room at the moment, so the coffee will definitely keep coming. And I don't think you're a bad reporter, for the record."

"No, I'm really bad," Jake grins. "But thanks. Um, I'll go write this out, in case the professor decides to be a bastard - as usual - and check." She pauses. "Anytime after school for the shoes?"

Rory shrugs. "I'll be in my room for most of the evening, as far as I know. So just stop by whenever you get a chance."
