Silent Bob hustled into the classroom, looking over his shoulder as if afraid he was being followed, and quickly shut the door. He relaxed a little bit and waved at the students cheerfully before starting to write on his ever-beloved whiteboard.

VERBAL - INSU

Unfortunately, that was all he got to write when the door came crashing open and a very irate hetero-lifemate was standing there.

"What the fuck, fatass? There is no fucking way you're pussying out on letting me fuck with your little class. What, you fucking thought I wouldn't find you?"

Bob sighed and buried his face in one hand before turning back to the board and finishing his thought.

He turned back to the class and flicked his hand in a few gestures meant to indicate that they should pair up and try to make the other person cry.

Good thing one of them is. Well, that or it's a really bad thing since it makes it look like they can hold a conversation. Perhaps it depends on your perspective.

Hey, one person talking and the other person zoning out ignoring them listening is still a conversation. Conversatin' takes turns. It's a give and take, and Jack's great at giving and talking.

Cassandra had noticed, but the truth was she didn't mind. Steph... well, Steph had been a lot like that too.

Cassandra was a good listener. Even when Jack wasn't talking. He liked her. She listened. Or at least acted like she listened and that was about the same in Jack's book.

There were probably lots of pictures in Jack's book, though.

Well, she did listen. Did we mention the hyper-vigilence thing?

Conveniently for everyone involved, Cassandra liked picture books. Mostly because she read even less than Jack did.

Jack's thinking this whole hyper-vigilence thing just means she's fascinated by what he's saying. or not saying.

There's pretty pictures, too. Color ones. Some that need to be colored in, even, if one had the notion.

That's probably a much more comforting way to think of things. The truth, that she's just waiting for him to try to kill her so that she can break a couple of bones and maybe give him a concussion first, would probably make it hard to be friends. It's not personal, of course. She does that with everyone.

Sadly, Cassandra doesn't have a lot of stuff, and crayons are not part of that meager list.

Lo, the hyper-vigilance thing might end up badly if he decides to sweep her off her feet and plant a kiss on her. That can't end well.

Jack could be persuaded to share his. He even has some colored pencils.

Unfortunately the "not hurt" clause is almost certain to be violated. A lot like my mind has been by this thread.
