There had been a ~~handwavey~~ correspondance to the students to let them know to meet in the Danger Room today, though have no fear, this in no way meant there were no treats. Wilson had made Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake bars for the students to get their sweet fix satisfied. There was also coffee, tea and water.

Wilson himself was leaning against a wall with a cup of coffee in his hand. As soon as everybody was in the Danger Room and accounted for, the young doctor grinned and straightened up.

"All right then. Today is our first practical lesson. You are each going to face down an insideous opponant, one by one through that door there. You can not use force, you can not use powers. Johnny, you can try fire on the door, it won't give, it's designed to be impervious to all your powers, magical or otherwise. You must play by the door's rules."

He waited for the students to finish looking at him as if he'd grown a second head and grinned around his coffee cup.

"Yes I said door. You'll understand when you get into the scenario. Now the rules are you have three chances to make it through the door. After that, times up and either you solve the door's challenge or you loose. Loosing won't affect your grade but I hope it will make you think. Winning ... gives you bragging rights over the door. Okay, everyone understand? Then step up and you go in alphabetical order."

Picking up a clipboard, he began to read off the list.

Johnny mock? Pfft. Okay, Johnny sometimes mocked.

"That's cool. I wouldn't have minded TA'ing for some teacher." Johnny just thought it'd take up too much of his time. It was precious you know.

"Well, I figured I can learn a lot from Phale," Chris said. "Since my family has so many prophecies about them and all."

No, Chris wasn't bragging at all. Why would you think that?

"Prophecies, eh? Cool." Hmm. "So is that like reading one's future and whatnot?"

"Sort of," Chris said. "But the trick is to figure out how to interpret them. Some of them can be really cryptic."

That would be a cool power to have. He wondered if Savannah could do any of that. "Any palm reading?"

Chris wrinkled his nose. "Not that I know of."

Eh, Chris might be pulling his leg. "So how does it work?"

"The prophecy thing?" Chris asked. "I don't know exactly, that's why I'm taking the class."

"Oh." Man, witches didn't know as much as Johnny thought they did. "Well, the orbing thing is cool."

Chris smirked. "Yeah. So's the telekinesis and the spellcasting."

Johnny slouched in his chair. "Spellcasting? Sounds so... I dunno, movie-ish."

"It's saved people's lives before," Chris said.

"In the movies too," Johnny said then asked, "You've first-hand experience saving lives?"

"Yeah," Chris said simply.

"Me too," Johnny said cause he wanted to sound brilliant too. "Like all of New York."

"That's nice," Chris said. "I rescued someone from hell. And helped save Fandom."

"It wasn't that Bel dude was it?" Johnny was thinking he might have let that Von Doom look-alike stay in hell.

"Yeah, it was. He's my uncle. Sort of," Chris shook his head. "My family relationships are a little weird here."

"Uncle?" Right, he could understand that. Eve being Savannah's mom and all. "Did you save him cause he was your uncle or just an all around nice demon sort?"

"I saved him because of my aunt," Chris said.

"Who is?"

"Phoebe Halliwell."

Ah, of course. Phoebe's hot. Not that Johnny had thoughts of other chicks anymore since hooking up with Savannah. Nope.

"You going to Homecoming?"

Chris shrugged. "Don't know yet. Maybe."

If Johnny started gloating about being with Savannah, Chris might hit him.

"You should ask someone, will be fun."

Pause.

"Yeah, I plan on having a great time with Savannah. Not sure what I'm going to wear yet, but I'll be looking good for my girl, you can bet that much." Goading? Why would you think that?
