"Yeah." Dean shook himself, trying to get rid of the wistful melancholy that was trying to settle on him. "Hey, who knows? Maybe this class will change my mind. Something for you to shoot for, Mr. TA."
"And sometimes, inaction is the better option to take," Sam replied. "You know, I don't have all of the experience that you have. I don't just automatically know what to do with Dawn all the time like you would."
"See, this is where I have more confidence in you than you have in yourself," Dean told him. "You know what to do, Sammy. You just don't trust yourself."
Sam laughed shortly. "You don't know that. And if I have a chance to learn something - anything - that might help me keep her happy, then I'm going to take it."
"Pretty much," Dean said. "Or at least keep her from running away until you can pull your head out of your ass and fix it yourself. I've done it before."
