No-Nonsense Sexual Education - Monday, Period 1 - Class 1

Lulu swept into the classroom, her long skirt, a collection of intertwined belts, rustling against itself as she stepped. Her presence was unmistakeable, as were her... obvious endowments, which likely drew the attention of every male in the room -- or anyone interested in women, at least -- and even the others would likely notice the fact that she must use either tape or magic to hold up her dress, and more likely magic as tape seemed insufficient.

"Good afternoon," came her voice, smooth and confident. "My name is Lulu, and in this class we will be discussing many of the changes and new experiences you will discover, or have already discovered, as part of your adolescence.

"I do wish to maintain," she continued, "a safe and productive environment for all of my students; with this in mind, I'd like to set some expectations for within this classroom. If you all please sign these forms, and look over the requirements for the course? You will find those attached."

Lulu sat on the edge of her desk, leaing forward; her bosom threatened to overflow her dress. "We are going to be speaking of sex," she said, low and bluntly. "This is a topic with which many people are uncomfortable. Certainly in my own world, we are only now, after some drastic political changes, learning to discuss these topics with any openness, and I understand, having done some research upon arriving here, that many of your worlds are in similar, if not stricter, situations, while others are much more open about this topic.

"My expectations for you are, first, that you approach our discussions with an open mind, as you may find certain of your beliefs challenged as we discuss the myths and stereotypes that surround sex and sexual acts; second, that you listen to your classmates without judgment, as you may find that they enjoy different acts and different aspects thereof than do you, and this does not make them necessarily immoral or wrong, merely different -- if you'll pardon the repetition. Third," Lulu continued, stepping back down to the floor and standing tall, "I do wish to impress upon you that no question is too outrageous; there are many things believed about sex that have no basis in the truth, and the only way to discover that truth is to speak of what we already believe we know. I hope to challenge your assumptions, and in doing so educate you to the best of my ability."

She turned to the blackboard and began writing upon it as she spoke. "For today," Lulu said, "I thought it might be best if we limited ourselves to introductions. If you would, I'd like you give the class your name, what education you've had, and also, if you feel comfortable discussing it, what experience. Also, I'd like to introduce you to my TA, Rikku; she will be more than willing to discuss anything with you if you feel uncomfortable coming to me."

Sokka did his best to control his blushing. A lot. Maybe overcompensated just a tad.

"My name is Sokka, and I'm awesome," he said. "I don't have any formal education, I suppose, but the other warriors in my tribe talked around the campfire, if you get my drift. And arctic seals can get pretty rowdy." He smirked.

"And I've seen a baby being born." And fainted dead away, but no one had to know that, right?

"As for experience, I've had LOADS. I'm all KINDS of experienced. Yup, that's me, Mr. Experience."

Rikku stared, horrified. "You ... have experience with arctic seals?!" she asked, eyes wide.

Oh, CRAP. The forms, the forms, the forms!

"I-I mean," she stammered out quickly. "I r-respect your choices and bravery in sh-sharing, I was just ... professing, uh, surprise at ... your, uh ... your particular choices, which are totally valid, they were just new to me. That's all. In a totally respectful way. Uh."

"NO!!!" Sokka stared at her in horror. "I've SEEN the arctic seals!!! They get kind of hard to ignore! I haven't... I wouldn't... My experience is with GIRLS!!! Real, actual girls! What about you?"

Note to self: must kill Orangey.

"Besides, the seals were very educational," he muttered under his breath. "You'd thing the shells would get in the way, but they don't."

Rikku flailed. "I'm sorry, okay!? You said they were rowdy! I thought you meant ... look! I'm not judging you! I was just surprised! Your choices and seals or girls or whatever are totally okay! I didn't know people did that! And ... seals have shells? Really?"

"Sex with seals is NOT OKAY!!!" Sokka flailed. "Those kinds of people are called 'perverts', and if there ever were any in our village, we would have kicked them out!!!"

"...And, YES, of course seals have shells! Except here they probably don't, because your animals are all weird. I mean, penguins with beaks? That's just crazy..."

"You shouldn't call people perverts," Rikku sniffed. "It's in the form-things. Respecting other people's opinions and choices and stuff like that. And these aren't my animals, either. You guys don't even have chocobos."

"I respect other peoples choices!!!" Sokka countered. "I mean, I was totally there in support of the girlkissy party, was I not? But animals? Eeeeeugghh!!!"

"I wouldn't know," Rikku said airily. "I didn't go to the girlkissy party. And you're the one who brought up arctic seals."

"Heeyyyy, why weren't you at the girlkissy party?" Sokka demanded. "Don't you have any school spirit?"

"I have plenty of school spirit," Rikku said in a deadpan. "I also have a boyfriend."

And a tendency to flirt when drunk, so showing up for support would probably have gone south in a hurry, but that was beside the point.

"And he would have WANTED you to go!!!" Sokka sputtered. "What is he, dead??? I wanted MY girlfriend to be there!!!"

"You did?" Rikku scratched her head uncertainly. "Why would you want to see your girlfriend kiss other people? I wouldn't want to see someone I'm with kissing other people. That'd just ... hurt."

Sokka stared at her. Was she completely retarded? "Because it was HOT!!!" he exclaimed. "DUH!"

"But that's ..." She shivered. That felt cheap and weird, and not really Jude-like at all ... but then, Sokka was a guy ...

"Is he right?" Rikku asked Lulu - look, see, this was a class topic after all of that. "Should ... uh, should I have ... gone? I mean, do guys ... wanna see that kind of thing even if you're their girlfriend? I don't think I get it."

She looked over to see if she could catch Jude's eyes. It wasn't that she objected to kissing girls, really, but ... if he were kissing someone else, she'd be broken-hearted, not turned on.

Lulu hesitated just briefly, wondering how best to explain this. "Some people do consider it to be attractive," she decided upon, "but whether or not two people wish to do that within a relationship should be decided by those people. Also, even if one person wishes to kiss other people in certain circumstances, or wishes to see their partner kiss other people, that does not mean that their partner should just go along with their wishes, especially if they are very uncomfortable with the idea.

"As for the... other point you were discussing, while I, personally, agree that sex with animals is not something to be pursued, there are more reasons behind that than just what would be considered 'perverted'. In fact, we will be having a discussion during one class about how taboos develop, and understanding them to make decisions about whether or not you actually agree with them."

Sokka mostly ignored the kissing-other-people bits, and seized on one point. "See?" he said to Orangey. "SEE? No sex with animals. So you should stop that."

Rikku gave Sokka a dirty look. "I can totally beat you up again if you don't shut it."

She looked back at Lulu. "No, see, I mean ... are all guys, uh. Like that? 'Cause I can't imagine wanting to see that. It'd just make me sad."

Lulu shook her head. "No, not all boys. Some," she continued, nodding to Sokka, "certainly, but not all."

"Okay," she said, nodding with relief. "Thanks."

Sokka facepalmed. "No, 'cause you're a girl. Boys want to see girlkissy; girls want to see boykissy. Wake up and smell the Fandom! What did you think all the glitter was for?"

Rikku glared at him. "I don't wanna see Jude kiss boys. Other boys can kiss each other, 'cause it's pretty, but I want Jude to kiss me. And that's it."

"And that's perfectly fine, Rikku," Lulu said.

"Sokka." Lulu's voice was now just that little bit more forceful; she was by no means -- no means at ALL -- yelling, but there was definitely a little something more to her voice. "While certainly you may enjoy it, and even if it is incredibly common to enjoy it, that does not mean that those who do not enjoy it are... wrong, or stupid. Do I make myself clear?"

Sokka flailed a little. "Why are you taking her side??!!? She started it!!!" He put one hand on his hip and shook his finger at Lulu. "You're the professor; you should be a little bit more boobs."

... "IMPARTIAL! I meant IMPARTIAL."

Lulu just gave him a Look. "I rather think I'm already 'boobs' enough, don't you? As for my impartiality, Rikku attempted to abide by the expectations set out for the class. You, on the other hand, ridiculed her for not sharing what you view to be a normal sexual interest. What do you have to say about that, especially given what I've asked you to do in my class?"

"No, I--" Sokka began, exasperatedly. He stopped himself short and thought about it for a moment. "Oh. I, uh." He chuckled nervously. "I guess I say... 'Sorry'?"
