Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Zoe was very impressed with how well the construction people had done in rebuilding the school, and the grounds had been cleared just in time for the picnic to welcome the new students and teachers. Tables and chairs had been set up, and there was plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and two signs, one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and another listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

[~~WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE.~~ OCD IS UP. This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. Part two is happening simultaneously here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g*]

"Frak," Lee said, eyes widening. "I missed that?"

"Yeah, sorry," John said. "But I hear Prof. Skywalker is pretty nice about letting trained people use the sim." Or maybe that was just Jaina.

"Damn." He'd have to ask this Skywalker person sometime later. "So, what's a big brother supposed to do? We don't have to, you know, stay attached to each other, do we?"

~~Only if we want to, Lee. And in ways that are most pleasant.~~

"I think I'm supposed to be helpful and answer questions," John replied. "But really, I'm just an acquaintance they force on you so they can say, 'look he has a friend the first day!'"

~~PRETTY!~~

"Oh, good," Lee replied, nodding. "Not that I mind but I thought we might have to hold hands or something."

~~Or SOMETHING, YES. But we might be able to arrange some handholding afterwards.~~

"Well, holding hands is pretty standard and, sadly, required," John teased.

~~Saying you might be too tired for hand holding after?~~

"Really?" Lee smiled. "You want to hold my hand?"

~~Assuming the during goes as expected, yes.~~

"It's not a question of want, Lee," John explained. "It's more about need."

~~Hope you've got staaaaaaaaamina, then. You'll need it.~~

"A need to hold my hand?" Lee asked, looking amused. "It would make our bonding experience stronger, somehow?"

~~I've got stamina in spades, if you're up for the challenge.~~

"A need so I don't get fired from big brotherdom," John grinned. "They're all about the touchy feely. We should just be glad there's no enforced hugging. Though I hear that's in the works."

~~Think I can make being up for the challenge happen. Quite quickly.~~

"All right, so we should hold hands." Lee had no idea why he was proposing this. "I wouldn't want you to get fired."

~~It's the only natural response. And such a good one.~~

"Right," John didn't even know if he could be fired or why in the world he had jokingly started this. "Because we're fake brothers."

~~I'd be full of fun response, oh yes.~~

"Right." Lee's thoughts had wandered down the same path as John's. "So. Fake brothers...hold hands."

Hadn't they just been talking about ships?

~~Bursting with response?~~

"But only in an incredibly manly way," John qualified it. Because we're pilots."

And talking about ships was way better.

~~But at the right time omg. Nothing too early!~~

"Right," Lee said hurriedly. "And only to show that we're comfortable being forced upon each other."

~~Thus all the talk of stamina and friction.~~

"Right," John agreed. "Because discomfort would dictate we ~~makeout~~ run."

~~Mmmm, friction. Friction and stimulation!~~

"Right." So. Right. He held out his hand. "We don't ~~makeout~~ run."

~~Mmmhmm. Hand holding as first step to friction.~~

"Right." They were kinda repetitive here. John took Lee's hand. "So, holding hands now."

~~Delicious, delicious friction.~~

"We are." Lee kind of stared at their joined hands. "Do you feel more strongly bonded?"

~~Furry friction of chest hair!~~

"Stronger than ever before," John quipped, wondering how long this would go on.

~~Dirty! Oh wait, no, that's what this is for!~~

"Me too." And oddly enough, Lee didn't want to be the one to let go first. "All the way down to my toes."

Mmmm, stupid teenage boy competition.

~~And here I thought this was for the nekkid bedroom competitions.~~

"Your toes feel strong or bonded to me?" John smirked, still not letting go.

~~We're doing that anyway. All night long.~~

"Both," Lee answered, nodding once. "All because we're holding hands."

If anything, Lee tightened his grip in a bit of a challenge.

~~So you claim. I'm getting a stopwatch.~~

"Aww shucks," John said, meeting Lee's grip. "And me without my camera to capture this moment forever."

~~A calendar might be better.~~

"Too bad," Lee responded, looking up at John. "You could always let go so you could get your camera."
