Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Zoe was very impressed with how well the construction people had done in rebuilding the school, and the grounds had been cleared just in time for the picnic to welcome the new students and teachers. Tables and chairs had been set up, and there was plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and two signs, one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and another listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

[~~WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE.~~ OCD IS UP. This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. Part two is happening simultaneously here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g*]

That morning, Jeff had woken up to find a large sign on his door with a name on it and a note to tell him to go to the front lawn. It had been signed by his mother, so he figured that for the continuing safety of his boys, it was only prudent to show up.

He was standing on the lawn now, holding a sign that said INO YAMANAKA and wobbling on his feet in a nervous fashion.

Even after the tour River gave her, Kerrigan was still a bit... wary about this entire matter. She kept to the sidelines, polishing her rifle with an old rag and keeping an eye on things. She'd have to find a place to stay, if only to stash most of her weapons.

Ares watched the crowds intently, after all, you never knew who might be a useful minion.

Dick slapped on a piece of paper on him (that simply read 'Dick') and looked around for his little sibling.

Of course he couldn't help but look for someone that looked like Cher the singer.

Naomi came down to the Welcome Picnic later that morning. She picked up her name tag and began looking around for someone called Honor Huston.

And look, there was Meg looking around for her big sibling. She really couldn't tell if Bridge was a girl's name or a boy's name. She figured it really wouldn't matter since knowing wouldn't help her find him or her.

Among the new students there would be someone named Beauregard Duke, and River had been assigned to be his big sibling. She walked among the people, looking into their minds for someone by that name.

Emma was here, dressed up - or rather, down - for the occasion.

Neville looked down at the list with increasing trepidation. Victor Von Doom seemed like a very Durmstrang sort of name. He didn't think he had very much in common with anyone from Durmstrang.

Barney was suited up and looking to meet some new hot cutlets.

Harriet was there, rather pleased with her new role as Dean of Students.

And given that new role, she thought it behoved her to be available to meet the newest arrivals.

Neville looked around for someone named Z Delgado. He hoped this Z was a friendly sort. He didn't think he'd deal very well if it turned out to be an American Draco Malfoy.

Peter noted how he had a new roommate, though the name was familiar. Fandom being Fandom, he wondered if this was the same Mac he knew or a really good duplicate.

He looked around for her to find out.

As soon as he found the picnic, Lee felt out of place. The only thing good about showing up in his uniform would be he'd be easy for this John Sheppard person to find.

Having stuck his own nametag to his shirt, John looked around for someone with 'Lee' on theirs.

Chuck Noblet stood there and tried to look friendly. But he couldn't help but feel that his day was being wasted. School didn't start yet, and thus he should not be expected to look at their chipper and annoying little faces. He could feel the resentment around him, thick like a fog. and despite his best attempts, it was plain for everyone else to see, too.

And there's Bridge, looking around for someone named Meg.

"Oh! Oh! Meg! Hi! I'm Bridge," he says by way of introduction when he spots her. And blushes slightly as he self-consciously runs a hand through his still-green hair.

Quirking an eyebrow at the uniform-clad boy, John smiled and walked over to him. "You wouldn't by any chance be Lee Adama, would you?"

"Maybe," Lee answered, glancing at John. "Who's asking?"

"John Sheppard," he replied, offering his hand. "If you are Lee, then I'm your big bro. If not, I'm just a nice guy you met at the picnic."

Meg grinned when she saw Bridge. She was extremely relieved that he seemed really friendly.

"Hi! I'm Meg. Well, you already know that I guess." she said. "I like your hair."
