Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Zoe was very impressed with how well the construction people had done in rebuilding the school, and the grounds had been cleared just in time for the picnic to welcome the new students and teachers. Tables and chairs had been set up, and there was plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and two signs, one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and another listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

[WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE. OCD IS UP. This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. Part two is happening simultaneously here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g*]

And there's Bridge, looking around for someone named Meg.

"Oh! Oh! Meg! Hi! I'm Bridge," he says by way of introduction when he spots her. And blushes slightly as he self-consciously runs a hand through his still-green hair.

Meg grinned when she saw Bridge. She was extremely relieved that he seemed really friendly.

"Hi! I'm Meg. Well, you already know that I guess." she said. "I like your hair."

"Thanks," Bridge grins. "It's not, you know, usually green. I just felt like doing something fun with it and anyway that's enough babbling about myself- how are you? Do you like it here so far? Well, I mean, I guess it's hard to tell since it's just the picnic so far but I don't know, you could have picnic related trauma or something..." he babbles.

"No trauma yet! It's been really nice here so far. I live on the west coast so this is a nice change of scenery." she said. "Of course I might not be saying that when snow sets in."

"Oh, hey, me too!" Bridge bounces. "Newtech City, in California," he does't actually expect her to recognise the name- nobody else he's met so far has, anyway.

"Can't say I ever heard of it." she said. Of course Meg didn't travel much so she wasn't that surprised. "I'm from Neptune, California."

"Well, it doesn't exist yet," Bridge says with a shrug. "It will in a few years. At least, in my- um. How much do you know about alternate realities?" Probably not the best idea to mention, at least not right away, that Newtech City was built after a meteor destroyed his reality's version of a place called Neptune.
