Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Zoe was very impressed with how well the construction people had done in rebuilding the school, and the grounds had been cleared just in time for the picnic to welcome the new students and teachers. Tables and chairs had been set up, and there was plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and two signs, one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and another listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

[~~WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE.~~ OCD IS UP. This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. Part two is happening simultaneously here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g*]

"Your toes feel strong or bonded to me?" John smirked, still not letting go.

~~We're doing that anyway. All night long.~~

"Both," Lee answered, nodding once. "All because we're holding hands."

If anything, Lee tightened his grip in a bit of a challenge.

~~So you claim. I'm getting a stopwatch.~~

"Aww shucks," John said, meeting Lee's grip. "And me without my camera to capture this moment forever."

~~A calendar might be better.~~

"Too bad," Lee responded, looking up at John. "You could always let go so you could get your camera."

~~One of those 18 month ones on which special moments in our love can be marked for posterior..er posterity's sake?~~

John looked down at Lee and considered his comment. "You seem to want me to let go first." Which naturally means he won't.

~~Marked with sparkly pink ink from the top of the month to the...bottom.~~

"I asked you first," Lee said, going for the trick that had worked on Zak...once.

~~The bottom is a favorite part of the...month.~~

John cocked an eyebrow, "I hear first is worst."

~~Takes a while to get there but the build up is totally worth it.~~

"You heard wrong," Lee said calmly, still gripping John's hand and not really caring that he was gripping another guy's hand in the middle of a picnic.

Hand holding - so that's what the kids are calling it these days.

"My sources may not be reliable," John admitted, grinning down at Lee. "But I'm still pretty sure second is best."

~~Hand holding is the back door to all kinds of fun.~~

"Let go...brother," Lee said, smirking.

~~Amen to the back door!~~

"Will you still respect me in the morning if I do?" John smiled innocently.

~~You can sneak in right for surprise...fun times.~~

"Of course," he said, most charming smile in place.

~~You like surprises?~~

"Then how can I say no to my new little brother," John said. "So this is me, letting go first."

Except he didn't let go.

~~In all shapes and...sizes~~.

"I think our definitions of letting go differ," Lee said, voice light.

~~I've got a surprisingly big...hand.~~

"Oh, fine," John gave in and released Lee's hand. "But just remember that I'm the bigger person, and thus, bigger brother."

~~I'd always be up for some...experimentation~~.

Lee grinned but resisted the pump his fist. "I feel closer to you already."

~~I'll always be ready.~~

"As do I," John told him, wondering if all their interactions would be as interesting.

~~I'll remember that.~~

"Thanks for the warm welcome," Lee said, still grinning. "Brother."

~~See that you do!~~

"Hey, and I'm on the fifth floor if you ever have questions or need anything," John thought he should at least put the offer out there like his big brother before him.

~~And now I know your room number!~~

"I'm down on the third floor," Lee said, returning the sentiment. "If you never...I don't know what a little brother does."

~~You know, I don't have a roommate...~~

"Little brothers buy the beer while the big brother shares his wisdom," John grinned.

~~Sleepover?~~

"Is that right?" Lee would ask someone else what exactly beer was later. "You got a lot wisdom?"

~~I've got extra pillows!~~

"Yup," John nodded sagely. "Well, you know what they say: It's simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and say the opposite."

~~We wouldn't share?~~

"Right." Lee had no idea. "If you've got a lot of wisdom, guess that means I gotta bring a lot of beer."

~~I wasn't sure if you were a pillow hog is all. I'm not averse to sharing many many things.~~

"Excellent," John said. "Guess I'll be seeing you around, Lee."
