How to be a Comic Book Superhero - Outside the Kwik Stop, Monday

For once, Silent Bob was without his sidekick. Jay certainly wasn't hiding out wherever they slept after his run-in with local law enforcement and their conversation about appropriate behaviour around minors. He looked a little crestfallen, but would soldier on without his translator.

The whiteboard was back. There was a title: "Witty repartee - to monologue or not to monologue?"

There were lists. "GOOD - see all Lightning Bug", "BAD - last two chapters of Barry Plodder"

There were whiteboard markers and a stack of comic books for reference material.

Rikku scratched her chin. "Uh, Dean Tick always made us yell 'SPOOOOON!'" she offered. "But I'm not really sure why."

"What about something short and ironic?" Edward suggested. "A joke at the expense of the he- I mean, villain?" He have a bright smile, as if covering his mistake. He failed. It just looked more creepy.

Bob gestured at them to pair up, indicating through a short pantomime that they should take the part of superhero or villain and practise their repartee.

A.J. had his best hopeful expression on his face as he looked around for someone to partner up with. This could be fun; he was thinking of whether he should mimick his banter style more after Mark or Lucas. Both of them had such superior, though different, repartee skills that he admired.

A.J. had to take a moment, eyes closed shut tightly, to attempt to keep in a snort of a laugh, but he got over it quickly with a deep breath, straightening his shoulders and demanding, in his best, booming overlord voice, which was very over-acted and not at all intimidating, "I'd like to see you just try and stop me, weak peon!"

Rogue rolled her eyes. The last thing that was on her mind in a fight was witty dialogue, but she supposed she had to participate.

Rikku bounced up to the TA and held her arms out as if she was holding two long daggers even though she totally didn't get those until X-2. "Wait just a minute, you evil-doer!" she cried loudly. "Yoooooooou thought you'd get away with it! You thought everything was just peachy with your evil plans! But you made ONE! BIG! MISTAKE!"

She posed. "You totally didn't count on ..... Agent Orange!"

Adam really didn't think he'd be good at coming up with witty dialogue though his canon proves otherwise as he glanced around for a possible partner.

"Hey there, Bob-o," John greeted glumly, scuffing his sneakers against the ground.

"I'm afraid ya won't be seein' me 'round here much longer. My, er...boss kinda yanked me out. Said I wasn't gettin' anywhere...that all I'd learned was to smack people with sex toys and create more destructive explosives."

John shrugged as if to say, "What're gonna do?"


"So...it's been ripper, O Quiet One." He gave a little, forlorn salute.

[OOC: God, I'm so sorry 'bout this. RL shit has been really heavy on me lately, and I've gotta drop out. I may be back for the school year, though.]

Bob stuck out his hand gravely, seeming to convey regret and a feeling of 'well, it was good while it lasted'.
