Ares glared at his class. "I hope you all had fun while I was unavoidably detained," he said. "Of course, Mr Casablancas and Mr Jekyll may find things somewhat less enjoyable in detention. Miss Summers, you'll also be joining them, although you really have to tell me, when did you meet Discord? Wells, Sheppard? Nice lists."

"Now today we have something of an interesting situation for you all," he said. "Firstly, divide into Hero and Sidekick pairs. Now once you've paired up, sidekicks, you'll discover something grave has happened. Your hero has gone completely bonkers. Your job is to try figure out what happened and how to fix it. Heroes, just drift in and out of sanity and help or hinder your sidekick as seems fit."

Dawn didn't say anything; she just crawled under one of the desks and sat there silently.

Rodney crouched down next to Dawn. "Obviously, something is wrong with you," he stated matter-of-factly. "Can you tell me what happened?"

Rodney mirrored the seriousness. "Who's coming? How do you know they're coming?" He asked quickly. "And, more importantly, how do we stop them?"

"They are. Them." She clarified, except not. It was a little disturbing to Dawn how easy this was for her. "They can't be stopped."

"Right," Rodney nodded. "The unstoppable them. So... what? You're just going to give up? That's not exactly hero-like behavior," he said as he waggled his finger at Dawn.

"You haven't seen what they can do," she bit her lip not to laugh at the finger waggling, "They destroy lives. There is no known way to stop them."

"Well, then you just need to pull your head out of the sand so that we can figure out a way to get rid of them," he bit back a grin as he spoke.

Oh, woe to have a less than understanding sidekick. "They destroyed the dinosaurs and brought about the last ice age. Somehow I don't think anything we can do will stop them."

"Okay, I'll admit that sounds bad," he sighed. "But are you sure they're on their way? I mean, how do you know?"

"Of course you did. And just when did the craziness, I mean, the vision happen? Was there something that set you, er, it off?" Rodney figured he should try to learn the root of the fake problem while not making Dawn any worse. Hopefully.

Dawn decided not to mention the very real previous head injuries. "Over breakfast this morning. I got apocalypse all over my Cheerios."

Rodney snorted out a small laugh before he could stop it. "I suppose I should check the Cheerios for foreign substances," he said more to himself than to Dawn.
