Ares glared at his class. "I hope you all had fun while I was unavoidably detained," he said. "Of course, Mr Casablancas and Mr Jekyll may find things somewhat less enjoyable in detention. Miss Summers, you'll also be joining them, although you really have to tell me, when did you meet Discord? Wells, Sheppard? Nice lists."

"Now today we have something of an interesting situation for you all," he said. "Firstly, divide into Hero and Sidekick pairs. Now once you've paired up, sidekicks, you'll discover something grave has happened. Your hero has gone completely bonkers. Your job is to try figure out what happened and how to fix it. Heroes, just drift in and out of sanity and help or hinder your sidekick as seems fit."

Now Andrew was leaning out and staring at Jeff's calves. Maybe he should ask the boy if he needed any help or medical attention.

Jeff pulled his legs in as quickly as he could and leaned even further away. He was starting to approach 'horizontal'. Or maybe 'faceplant' would be the better word.

Andrew was suddenly very concerned. Jeff seemed about ready to fall out of his seat. He leaned as close as he could get and whispered, "Are you okay?"

Oh, god. Jeff jumped in his seat. Which led to falling. His eyepatch skidded across the floor and landed a few inches away from his head. "I'm aLl RiGhT," he blurbled. He was also bleeding on his socks now. Excellent work.

Andrew straightened back up and looked away from Jeff. He thought it best not add to other people's embarrassing situations by staring at them. He did glance though, frequently, to make sure Jeff got up okay.
