Now that the sinkhole's been filled in and smoothed over, there's some cement-work to be done pretty much right on top of it. Not that Xander looks like he's getting Sunnydale flashbacks about that; the thoughtful frown is entirely unrelated. Really.

"The truck did the big parts of it," he says, "But there's paths for a sidewalk laid out that you guys can pour." He points to a small cement mixer, in fact the one that was used to make sure those pesky stones remain in place beneath their feet.

And then there's a safety lecture. You knew there would be.

Bel dipped his finger in the whipped cream of the parfait and licked it off, looking at Anders expectantly.

Anders sighed. "Have I ever told you you're a brat?" he asked, just before taking some of the whipped cream off of his parfait and smearing it on Bel's lips.

"Am not," Bel insisted, scooping out a strawberry and taking a bite, getting even more whipped cream on his lips.

"Then clean me up," Bel said, tilting his head a little.

Anders chuckled and leaned in, flicking the tip of his tongue out toward the whipped cream on Bel's lips.

Bel set his parfait down and yanked Anders closer, giving him a demanding kiss.

Anders chuckled when he eventually pulled back, but kept an arm slung around Bel's neck. "So. Good dessert?"

"I'm always worth the wait," Anders drawled smugly. "And you damn well know it."

"I hate to turn down a challenge," Anders said with a sigh, "but I do have two workshops tomorrow, you know."

Anders let out a choked whimper. "Not fair. Besides, one of them is Phoebe's and the other is Mr. Winchester's."

"Nothing," replied Anders, grinning as innocently as he could manage.
