Detention, Saturday, June 2

When students entered the Danger Shop, they would have found it looked a whole lot like a palace made entirely of clouds. That was because it was a palace made entirely of clouds. The area was surrounded by cloud pillars. There were cloud chairs scattered around and a cloud table off to the side with real food and plenty to drink. There was even a cloud sound system where DJ Apollo was playing some tunes for the godly audience (mostly a lot of Marvin Gaye and The Who).

"Welcome to Mount Olympus, home of the gods. As punishment for your crimes against the school, or for having really bad luck, you're now part of the Pantheon, minus the godly powers. And hey, yeah, what do you know? It's a family reunion. Feel the pain. Now get in there and make like a god."

//"I don't necissarily see how they're related,"// Setsuna said. //"Harvest and gluttony. I mean, if anything, it would make more sense to me that she should be trying to preserve all that food or spreading it out to the populous instead of being so apt at consuming it all for herself. Hot dogs aren't exactly the most natural of foods. If it was a bread eating, mutton eating, sushi eating contest, that would make sense, but hot dogs? They're processed meat parts. As such, they're not grown, so shouldn't they be the specialty more of the hunt?"//

She let out a sigh. //"That's Western mythology for you, though, I suppose..."//

//"Good point."// ami shrugged. //"So what did you do to end up here?"//

Setsuna took a moment to consider if she could argue her way out of this one without getting a speech from Ami regarding her perminant record again.

//"Caught pie-ing a teacher, which was, by the way, part of a class assignment."//

//"You threw a pie at a teacher? As part of an assignment?"// Ami sounded like she thought Setsuna was crazy.

Which Setsuna expected and she was trying very hard to keep from smirking too much. //"Three pies, actually..."//

//"Why?"// was pretty much all Ami could say.

//"It was an assignment for Deadpool's class to annoy Alianne-sensei in some fashion,"// Setsuna explained casually, //"so I tried to work up a plot in which I could be stealthy and avoid getting caught, but, oh, I suppose I did not do so well on that part in the end of things, and that landed me here."//

She felt it was quite a good explanation to convince Ami that it was completely coincidental that she wound up in detention accidentally. Totally not on purpose, really.

Ami lifted an eyebrow. //"You are telling me, that you, with all your stealthy ninja training, oh so accidentally got caught?"//

Which, interestingly enough, had been true. She didn't mean to get caught until the third pie had hit. //"Well, this is Alianne-sensei we're talking about here,"// she pointed out. //"My spying teacher. If anyone would be able to catch me, it would be Alianne-sensei."//

Ami shook her head. She didn't really believe it, convinced that Setsuna did it on purpose. //"If you say so. So, why does your class homework have you annoying people? that seems odd."//

//"Have you ever met Deadpool?"// Setsuna asked, as though that in itself would answer her question.

//"Actually... no, i haven't."//

//"If you knew him, you'd understand,"// Setsuna assured her with a nod.

//"He is crazy?"//

Setsuna nodded. //"Quite insane, yes."//

//"I guess this explains it then. Oh"// she added, since she had been meaning to ask for awhile, //"Who's Al? I couldn't help but overhear your conversation with him last week, and he seemed very nice."// she sighed. //"There are too many people here i do not know."//

Thankfully, that was long enough ago that Setsuna didn't think much of Ami having overheard the conversation. //"Oh, I've mentioned Alphonse to you before, remember? He's a really good friend of mine that I've known since last year, when I started here. I always said you two should meet because the both of you always have your noses stuck in books."//

//"Oh yes, i remember now."// Ami said, wondering if he was the person Setsuna liked so much. Deciding that this was probably not the case, she said //"Well, introduce us then"// with a slightly strained smile.

//"Oh, well..."// Setsuna shifted a little; thing with such pale skin was that it became difficult to mask blushes. //"I...I would have introduced you when he visited the other day, but you said you were working on, um, homework, and I didn't want to interrupt or distract you. I know how important studying and stuff is to you..."//

Well, she felt it was a good cover, anyway.

//"And i appreciate it. I am sure there will be other times?"// Ami was possibly reconsidering deciding it was not Al.

//"Definitely,"// Setsuna nodded firmly. //"I haven't seen him around much this weekend, but, yes, definitely will introduce you when the chance arrives. Maybe one of these nights at the Nest. He stops by sometimes, like you do, to say hi."//

//"Alright. Oh you are working tonight aren't you? Want me to stop by? We need to compare notes from the cat and princess day"//

Setsuna nodded. //"Every Saturday, unless I need to go to Japan for work, so, sure. ~~Although it'd be best if that could be handwavey due to sketchy availability tonight and not really knowing that much of the technicalities anyway~~."//

//"cool, i will come by"// ~~heh we can handwave it, though i think i will pop ami in there for continuity purposes~~

//"Cool,"// Setsuna nodded, and then, looking at the food again, turned a little green. //"So....lunch...."//
