Detention, Saturday, June 2

When students entered the Danger Shop, they would have found it looked a whole lot like a palace made entirely of clouds. That was because it was a palace made entirely of clouds. The area was surrounded by cloud pillars. There were cloud chairs scattered around and a cloud table off to the side with real food and plenty to drink. There was even a cloud sound system where DJ Apollo was playing some tunes for the godly audience (mostly a lot of Marvin Gaye and The Who).

"Welcome to Mount Olympus, home of the gods. As punishment for your crimes against the school, or for having really bad luck, you're now part of the Pantheon, minus the godly powers. And hey, yeah, what do you know? It's a family reunion. Feel the pain. Now get in there and make like a god."

"Guy thinks he knows it all," Hades said, jerking a thumb at him. "See if you can catch him out."

Poseidon, goblet in hand, approached the student. "I'm something, anything I like. You have twenty questions to figure out what I am." Start with 'Are you a vegetable, animal or mineral?' and go from there.

"This lovely dish of poison is my sister, Demeter. She's the goddess of corn, fruit, agriculture and pixy stix. See if you can beat her in a hot dog eating contest. There's the vegetarian option if you're a herbivore or whatever it is you call it."

Demeter waddled over. "Bring it on then!"

If you can stomach it after that eating contest.

Oh look, it's Hermes. Hades looked thrilled that he was back, even in holographic form. "Hey look, it's that guy. The one with the big mouth."

"Hermes, hey, how ya doing?"

"I thought you were Apollo."

"No way, man, he's the DJ. Anyway kids, I'm the god of eloquence and speech so, like, let's see what you've got. Wow me with a speech!"

No one knows who invited Robert Goulet (he's someone's third cousin twice removed) but he's here anyway. The ambrosia's been flowing for a while now, the food has been good and now the gods are starting to feel a little drowsy. Help Robert Goulet mess things up. You know you want to.

Detention's over as soon as you finish the activities or at 5pm Fandom Standard Time. Whatever comes first.

To show I'm done. The gods are caricatures of the family members he's not so keen on. There are some activities you can go all out with without interacting with NPCs too much. Feel free to do those while I'm asleep during the US day. Otherwise, I'll be around when I can! Feel free to mod the gods. Except Hades.

John approached Hades, "Excuse me sir, but would you be able to tell me why I have detention?" John was confused since none of his teachers had expressed any displeasure with him this week.

John thought this was really odd. "Oookay...Are you a vegetable, animal, or mineral?"

Hades was leaning against a pillar. "Luck of the draw, kid. By that I mean the detention draw. Everyone's names go into a hat, couple of names get drawn out. This week you lose."

"Vegetable. Wait, no! I changed my mind. Animal."

He nodded, "Okay then!" John could accept that. "When do I win something?"

John cocked an eyebrow, if this guy was changing his mind already, the game was gonna take forever. "Are you an animal of the land, water, or air?"

"July 21st." He was making that up.

"Hmm." Poseidon stroked his beard. "Water and land. Land, but I can swim, if that makes sense."

John considered that information. "Okay, do you have flippers?"

John brightened, "Should I come by your office that day to pick up my winnings?"

"I could go for some hot dogs," John said preparing himself for a good contest.

"The Principal's. She's the one that keeps all the goodies."

"Webbed feet that could count as flippers."

"What a coincidence, dear! So could I. Shall we?" Demeter asked, preparing herself.

Hades stood there with a stopwatch. "As many as you can eat in three minutes. 3...2...1...eat your heart out."

Demeter began to chow down with a superhuman appetite.
