Firearms and You #3 (Monday, period 1)

As before the class was in the Danger Shop and which was set up in the by now familiar shooting range. The coffee was there on the table by the sign in sheet and another handout.

"Good morning," John said. "Last week, we worked with handguns. This week we're moving on to shotguns. The handout will give you a little of their history and the different types you might want to try.

"One thing in particular about shotguns is the ability they have to use many different kinds of ammunition. For instance, those who took Hunting with me will know that I often use rocksalt rounds against ghosts, but that's just one variation. What I'd like for you to do today is not only try different types of shotguns, but also different types of ammunition.

"As always, I'm here if you have any questions or want advice."

"You and the target clearly haven't become acquainted yet," Eve said to the girl, managing to keep herself from laughing. "On the bright side, you just managed to hit my target, which should win you some sort of points for creativity, at the least."

"Aim," Z said self-deprecatingly, "is not my strong suit. I'm used more to things blowing up when shot at. I'm Z, by the way."

((Modding another character's actions like that--saying Z hit your target instead of her own without my permission--is generally frowned on. I'll let it go now because it's not that big a deal, but, just a heads up.))
