Arts & Crafts 2, Tuesday Afternoon, Main Campfire

"Good afternoon," Steve said. "Today we're going to make dream catchers, as I have been told they are traditional at summer camp. The instruction sheets and supplies should be on your tables. If you need any help, just let me or my TA--" Steve nodded at Teddy--"know. Also, I thought it would be nice if we all introduced ourselves so no one's working next to a total stranger. I'll start. Like I said last week, my name is Steve Rogers. I'm eighty-nine years old--yes, really--and I'm from New York City. I used to be in the army, but before that I went to art school." Steve pointed to a student at random. "You're next."

Johnny picked out everything blue. What? It was his favorite color. Blue feathers, blue beads, just...blue.

Concentrating, he started to glue the suede around the ring. If his project turned out good enough (or even if it didn't) he was totally going to send it to Sue. She needed to see just exactly what he got to do with his time over here. He was sure she'd be so jealous.

He grinned over at her and gave her a cute wink, "Why thank you, Savannah. I knew you would appreciate my special talent." Johnny slowly let his eyes move over her. "I have to say, you are looking pretty hot yourself." Modesty did not live in his world.

Savannah has never actually met Modesty.

"Being hot?" she teased with a grin. "I've just been hanging out, trying out for cheerleading."

"A cheerleader?" Short skirts, long legs, ohh man. "I can totally see you being a cheerleader, so I hope you make it."

Johnny messed with his feathers for a second then looked back at her, "You got any plans for this weekend, Savannah?"

Savannah smiled at him. "Thanks, that means something to me." She tilted her head. "Not that I know of. Do I?"

He quirked a brow, his eyes on hers, "You do now. What do you say to hanging out at the beach with me on Saturday?"

She smiled, looking him in the eyes. She did love his eyes. "I say that I very definitely have plans with you on Saturday."

"Great, we'll make a day of it. I'll pack us a cooler with plenty to eat and drink, we'll soak up some sun..." he paused, thinking of her in a bikini. Whoa.

Savannah smiled slowly. She had a pretty good idea what he might be thinking. "Terrific. I'll be looking forward to it."

"We'll stay out for the night too," he quickly added. "Watching the stars pop out over the beach is-" Johnny never watched the stars pop out at night. Anywhere. That was a girl thing, right? "-pretty."

Savannah smiled again. "I'm pretty impressed, Johnny. It sounds like you have got this all planned out for us. I like that."

She was indeed very impressed about his plans. The stars were a nice touch, too.

"Well, yeah, I've been thinking about you," he said smiling. "I'm not sure what all there is to do around Fandom yet and figured the beach would be a great way to spend the day. With you."

"Well then, I guess it's okay for me to say I've been thinking a lot about you, too, huh?" She nudged his shoulder with hers. "I like the idea of spending the day at the beach with you."

He liked the shoulder nudge and took the opportunity to lean closer, pressing his arm against hers, "You can think about me all you want, sweetheart. I don't mind a bit." He was going to ask about her bikini, but thought that might sound rude. He didn't want her thinking that that was all he was thinking about.

Savannah had to admit that she liked the fact that he had moved his arm to press against hers and she smiled at him as she tried to work on the Dream Catcher. Of course, she kept looking up from her project to look at him. "I like thinking about you," she said with a grin.

"It would make me sad if you didn't." he teased. And then yes, because they were in class, he began to work on his dreamcatcher as well.

"I've never really done arts and crafts, you know, glue, feathers, glitter. All new for me here. What about you?"

Savannah shook her head. "This is the first time I've done crafts like this." Well, if you don't count the occassional thing she needed to create for a spell or a charm. "I mostly paint and sketch."

"We're just two peas in a pod, aren't we?" Johnny said, smiling. "And what kinds of things do you like to draw and paint? I'm not too artistically inclined myself but I remember I liked to color when I was a little kid."

That might have been a tiny bit of a blush on Savannah's cheeks. "I do portraits of people sometimes... or I also just sketch or paint what strikes my interest."

"Oh, nice. Maybe I'll let you sketch me while were at the beach," Johnny said, waggling his brows.

Savannah laughed softly and leaned more into him. "I could do that... maybe."

She had never sketched someone she really liked before. Unless you counted Adam... which she didn't. As she had gotten older he had become like a big brother... a fiery, burning things big brother.
