Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

Around dinner time on Friday, the main campfire was transformed. Leis and grass skirts were available to all. A pig was roasting kabobs. There was Hawaiian music playing from somewhere. There was also a limbo stick of doom. If you lost, you died.

Okay, that was just Drax's hope. He couldn't make it happen in reality. Woe.

Roy smiled and placed his hand lightly on her waist, keeping the required distance between them he started to lead her along. It wasn't an easy rhythm to find, but he wasn't about to let her think he was a bad dancer either.

They danced in silence for a few measure before Aly gave him a warm smile. "I find myself proven wrong, General Mustang."

"Corporal," he corrected with a smirk. "And you've definitely done this before as well."

"I told you I grew up at Court," she teased, following him easily.

"Growing up at Court doesn't necessarily make you a good dancer," he pointed out, making the pattern they were following a bit more complicated so she wouldn't get bored.

"No, but it means you have quite a bit of practice," she replied with a wink.

Roy smirked. "Even so, you can feel the difference between a lot of practice and being talented," he pointed out.

"Is that a compliment?" Aly asked, amused.

He smiled. "It might be, you should ask me when we play chess."

"Won't you mock me for wasting a question?" she replied.

"I thought you liked being mocked," he shot back.

"I don't like the option being taken off the table," she clarified.

"Then it's a definite possibility," he smirked at her.

"Just as long as it's expected in return," she agreed, fingers brushing over his shoulder.

"I'd be disappointed if it wasn't," he assured her, his hand shifted on her waist.

"So did you get the information you were hoping for yesterday?" Aly asked lightly.

Roy chuckled. "In regards to the letter or the whole chess game?" he inquired.

"Yes," she smirked.

He raised an eyebrow at her, looking amused. "You want me to guess your reply?"

"I was saying yes to both of course," she replied.

"Of course," he agreed, grinning at her. "I don't think our chess game is quite finished yet so I'm not sure if I can answer just now."

She laughed. "It won't be over until I beat you decisively, that's for sure."

His grin grew wider as he looked down at her to meet her eyes. "I'll just have to keep you from doing that then."
