Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

Around dinner time on Friday, the main campfire was transformed. Leis and grass skirts were available to all. A pig was roasting kabobs. There was Hawaiian music playing from somewhere. There was also a limbo stick of doom. If you lost, you died.

Okay, that was just Drax's hope. He couldn't make it happen in reality. Woe.

"Not having the best of luck there?" Billy snickered.

"Stop snickering at me, Billy. Marshmallows suck anyway." Yeah.

"I mostly only like them in rice crispy treats myself." Billy said. "I find it kinda fun to toast them anyway. Maybe you're holding them too close."

She was still pouting but willing to try differently. Wait. No she wasn't. She thrust her stick at Billy. "I can't handle this."

Billy tried not to snicker. He really did. He managed to stop very quickly. He took the stick. "I'm sorry. Maybe marshmallows just arent' your forte."

"Anything that has to do with cooking is not my forte. I suck. I suck at cooking. I suck...at everything. I just suck!" she stomped her foot. Yes, Annette woke up grumpy this morning and it might still be with her.

"Woah, hey there what's this all about?"

"It's about sucking, Billy!" ~~dirty?~~

Billy chose to ignore the innuendo, intended or not. "Are you okay? This isn't just cause of the marshmallows."

It wasn't intended. Honest. She was just throwing a little fit over marshmallows. Maybe.

"Sure it is. Have you seen the ground? I think I've ruined a whole bag."

"And I was doing it on purpose. C'mon, what's really bothering you? I've been to therapy, I've picked up a few tricks."

She looked at him, "I don't need therapy. Do you think there is something wrong with me, Billy? Is that why you said that? What is wrong with me? Cause if there is something wrong with me I need to know. I'd hate to be walking around and everyone go 'there goes Annette, that crazy girl with something wrong with her' cause I'd hate that, Billy."

Billy looked at her for a moment. "Well at the moment you're coming across as just a bit paranoid. That's supposed to be my schtick. I just meant if you want to talk about what's bothering you, I'm here."

"Oh." She was paranoid? Oooops.

"You can have your paranoia back, Billy. I'm not paranoid. Really. I mean I have nothing to be paranoid about. Did I tell you I'm going ghost hunting later tonight?"

"Really? Cool!" Billy said, happy with the change of subject. "Where?"
