Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

Around dinner time on Friday, the main campfire was transformed. Leis and grass skirts were available to all. A pig was roasting kabobs. There was Hawaiian music playing from somewhere. There was also a limbo stick of doom. If you lost, you died.

Okay, that was just Drax's hope. He couldn't make it happen in reality. Woe.

Peter raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

Zuko nodded firmly. "I don't even like her. She was drunk."

No, that didn't make sense or sound right.

"Just now? Was that the yelling?" Peter asked, still working on the not grinning.

"This morning," Zuko scowled at Peter in case he decided to grin.

"Ah," Peter replied. "You have good taste at least."

"What?" Zuko asked confused.

"She's pretty," Peter pointed out.

"Oh," Zuko had actually never thought about it. He wasn't looking for a girl as he wasn't planning on settling down here. "I suppose."

"I'm just saying. If you're going to deny kissing a girl, it seems to be better to deny kissing a pretty one."

The attempt to control the grin was back.

"I didn't kiss her," Zuko said stubbornly.

"My point exactly," he agreed.

"As long as that is clear," Zuko nodded firmly.

"Oh, crystal," Peter replied. His tone probably indicated otherwise. "So that means we won't be awakened in the cabin any more by screaming?"

"No!" Zuko protested. "She's staying out of my bunk!" He wasn't thinking of nakedness at all really. Or needing to meet her at the shack and let her know that this kissing thing was not happening again. Ever.

Peter grinned. "Did you ask her opinion on that? Ladies can be awfully strong-willed."

Zuko frowned. "I don't need her opinion on that!"

"If she's the one coming into your alcove, perhaps you do."

Zuko blinked and stared at Peter. "I need to talk to her."

"Quite possibly," Peter agreed.

Zuko nodded. "Which I am going to do now. Talk to her," he stressed the last part a bit too much.

This time Peter totally grinned. "Have fun. Talking."

"Hrm." Mumbling something about just talking and not kissing, Zuko headed off in the direction of the shack.
