Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

Around dinner time on Friday, the main campfire was transformed. Leis and grass skirts were available to all. A pig was roasting kabobs. There was Hawaiian music playing from somewhere. There was also a limbo stick of doom. If you lost, you died.

Okay, that was just Drax's hope. He couldn't make it happen in reality. Woe.

"Yuh-huh. New Slayer in the bunch, too." Xander eyed Bridge and added a little sadly.... for some reason... "Last time he had a predator. Faithful."

"I miss him. And Alanna. It's only been a week, but I need my Radio snark. And aggressive redhead fix." She pouted. "And another Slayer? God, at this rate, you're not going to be able to manage apartments."

"I don't know if Vi's in the market for a Watcher of her very own," Xander said with a shrug that wasn't unconcerned, just uncertain. "This one's younger than the version I know."

"So another version, another double?" Parker asked speculatively. "Someone should be keeping a list of those somewhere. Not me. I'm leaving. But someone."

"Gotta be from another timeline than me, anyway, because she's from four years ago, when you couldn't get here from there, if you were me."

Parker paused, considering that, and said, "All of which worries me. You have to keep writing me, no matter what, even if I disappear off the alumni internet, okay? I so hate time travel."

"I kept writing you when I disappeared; you think you get to escape when you blow this joint?"

"Perfect." Parker grinned, and scritched Bridge under his chin. "I'm getting out of here on Sunday. But I'm around here 'til then, so... yeah. I'm trying to just enjoy the luau." With some success. "I got to hug Constable Fraser!"

Mindful of the ferret on his shoulder, Xander shook a finger at her. "Those are only for looking at! Not touching!"

"Hehehehehehehheheheheeee..." Parker chortled in triumph, and spun around Xander, looking gleeful. "Hey, if I can dance with him, I can hug him. Give me twenty years, and I'll send you a wedding announcement."

Xander remembered something. "He'll be sixty-something. If he's really as old as Rory said."

"I'll be... the age you saw me when you were in Scary-land. And if I'm like that and cold and crazy, you don't think I deserve a nice old hot Mountie?" Parker made a sad, sad face at him. "Meeeeean, Xander."

"You will not be like that."

"You don't know that. Maybe I'll be like that. Maybe I'll... have a stroke and a psychotic break and be like that." Parker isn't sure if she's afraid of this, or hoping for it, if it gets her a Hot Mountie.

"If you do, we'll hunt you down and kidnap you and subject you to sad looks from Bridge. Don't think I don't know how to do that - I learned from the best."

Parker grinned at him. "Now you're just tempting me. Because I'd love to see that."

And cue Bridge giving Parker his very best sad look. Which looks slightly different on a ferret-face than a human one, but still effective, one hopes.

Parker petted him again, between his ears. "Okay, fiiiiine. No going Ice Iron Maiden on you guys. At least not on purpose. Even if it means I may end up Mountie-less." She pouted. "But I better get cabana boys in recompense."
