Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

Around dinner time on Friday, the main campfire was transformed. Leis and grass skirts were available to all. A pig was roasting kabobs. There was Hawaiian music playing from somewhere. There was also a limbo stick of doom. If you lost, you died.

Okay, that was just Drax's hope. He couldn't make it happen in reality. Woe.

[OOC: FRIDAY SPECIAL EVENTS BEGIN ANEW! Students, instructors, and townies are all welcome.

Also, I turned off notifications, zomg.]

"Aravis," Sabriel greeted her. She tilted her head at the lei. She was dressed in a loose shirt and breeches since she'd gathered that this was a very informal event.

"Sabriel!" Aravis said, smiling. "Good evening." She glanced around. "Is this as unfamiliar to you as to me?"

"Rather," Sabriel said wryly. "I suppose it is a bit like the village feasts, but rather more... lacking in clothing."

"Honestly, I worry about these boys," Aravis said, shaking her head. "Won't they fall ill when winter arrives?"

"You would think so," Sabriel agreed. Not that she really minded the view so much, it was just very startling. "Or perhaps that is why they are lacking in dress now? They need to be wrapped up all winter?"

"I was told it's only for summer, so that's a possibility. I simply wonder if they have the sense to cover up," Aravis said, and if she was thinking of someone in particular, well, she had seen the boy shirtless three times in the past week.

Since said boy was Sabriel's cabinmate, she was thinking of him as well. "Judging by what I have seen this week, I would have to say no."

"I wonder if we, as sensible, properly-attired women, will be forced to take care of them when they do get sick," Aravis said, narrowing her eyes. "Because I certainly will do no such thing."

"Certainly not!" Sabriel exclaimed, outraged at the mere idea. "There must be nurses or healers here, surely? People who's job it is to take care of silly boys?"

"But the silly boys may expect attention and sympathy from us," Aravis pointed out.

"We don't have to give it to them, though," Sabriel said, narrowing her eyes at the boys wandering about the luau.

"True," Aravis said, nodding. "But there will be whining."

"You seem to know a lot about boys," Sabriel commented.

"I grew up with them," Aravis replied. "Two brothers, and then at Anvard, there are twin boys my own age."
