Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

Around dinner time on Friday, the main campfire was transformed. Leis and grass skirts were available to all. A pig was roasting kabobs. There was Hawaiian music playing from somewhere. There was also a limbo stick of doom. If you lost, you died.

Okay, that was just Drax's hope. He couldn't make it happen in reality. Woe.

Tori couldn't help but laugh at the marshmallow fiasco happening. The same thing would happen to her, if she were to roast some marshmallows. Which is why she wasn't.

"Hey Annette." Tori grinned, making her way over to her friend.

Annette looked over at Tori and pouted, "Stupid marshmallows. They don't know how to cook right."

"Yeah, it's always by chance that they might come out right. Hardly ever do, though." Tori admitted.

"Do you know how to roast one, Tori? I'll totally let you borrow my stick and everything."

"I can try." Tori offered. "I've roasted marshmallows a couple of times."

Annette handed over the stick and a plucked a marshmallow from the bag and handed it to Tori. "You're so cool." Then she stuck her tongue out at her. Just cause.

Tori chuckled. "Yeah, right." She stuck her tongue out at Annette and attempted to roast the marshmallow.

"I won't." Tori laughed, hoping she wouldn't. When the marshmallow looked just about right, she took it out of the fire. "How's that?"

"Oooh, looks perfect!" Annette went to reach for it, to pull it off the stick, but only the outter layer came away. "Oh, man!"

"Appearances can be deceiving?" Tori frowned. "Okay, apparently it didn't work too well."

"I misjudged the marshmallow, ugh." Not that Annette would ever admit to a marshmallow being smarter than her.

"Hey, did you check out the pig roasting the kabobs? Man, I'm trying not to look at it." She giggled.

"So did I." Tori chuckled. "Sneaky little things, aren't they?"

She shook her head. "Yeah, that was definitely a sight." Tori made a face. "Me either. It's just too weird."

Annette nodded. "Yeah. I think I'll leave them alone for now."

The pig with no thumbs roasting. It was weird.

"So how's things going with Luke?"

"Good plan." Tori nodded in agreement.

Kind of scary, too.

She smiled and shrugged. "Okay. I was hoping to see him here. Hopefully get it straightened that I wasn't on a date with Johnny yesterday... *dies* it was just two friends having lunch."

Tori fought the urge to facepalm. "No, I did not go on a date with Johnny." She shook her head. "We just went to grab some pizza together, a sort of 'welcome to Fandom, yay new friends' celebration."
