Fandom High Graduation Ceremony Class of 2007 Part I - Saturday Afternoon

The sun was shining high in the sky above the front lawn (not that this would matter to certain members of the audience since there was a nice awning and shaded pathways). A stage was set up with a podium and several seats for the administration and guests. Off to the side of the stage, a guitar for musical performances.

In front of the stage, blue and gold chairs were set for the largest graduating class in Fandom High history (not that it was a tough record to achieve), and to either side of those chairs were bleachers for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town of Fandom who wanted to wtiness this event.

It was a beautiful day for a graduation.

[OOC: Please wait for OCD. You're good to go! This post is mostly for audience mingling, general graduation stuff, and such. Look for Part II with your standard Fandom Surprise early this afternoon.

It'll be kind of hard to miss the events of the second post, so you might want to hold off an any post-graduation posts for a while to avoid being Jossed.]

The gown wasn't too bad; Bel was used to wearing black robes in the Underworld and they weren't much different. The mortar board, however. . . . He kinda felt like a dork.

Isabel made sure the moment was immortalized forever. She took lots of pictures.

"Hey, baby, looking good," Anders stage-whispered, grinning evilly.

Why, yes, of course he took lots of pictures.

Angel cheered for him.

In a manly, broody way, of course.

D was recovering from a rather nasty hang-over, but had her motor-board pinned on at a jaunty angle. "Ready to do this?"

Sam walked carefully down the aisle--she'd never hear the end of it if she tripped and fell during graduation.

Marty is fumbling with his robe. "Man. Could they make these things any hotter?"

Anakin let out a piercing whistle when Sam and Marty walked past.

Then totally pretended he hadn't.

Dork.

Tori felt a little weird, but it wsa mostly because of her nerves. She walked down the aisle, hoping not to fall flat on her face. The boys would never let her live it down if she accidentally tripped or something.

Jack rather liked the robes, they were silky and felt nice against his skin. Considering he wasn't wearing anything underneath them, that was probably good. The robes were such that all he flashed the audience with were a grin, and quite a bit of bare ankle, but anyone watching closely could probably figure out what he wasn't wearing under his robe.

Especially if they knew Jack.

Jake was glad he was walking with Rory. That way they could talk about coffee if he freaked out and became convinced he'd stumble and fall and bring everyone down with him á la dominos.

The gown was blue, and that had made Stark smile. He was trying to hold that smile in place as he walked, but since this whole thing was very odd and his funny hat kept sliding down on his mask, it was only working some of the time.

Jaye's all by herself walking. So great, yeah, so looks like a tool.

She has not realized she kind of usually looks like one, what with the talking to things all the time. If she did, she'd probably be much less self-conscious.

Really, she's just glad she hasn't managed to trip over her robe, which is a little too long. And she keeps trying to shove the hat back in place. And now she's trying not to trip over her robe while shoving the hat back into place.

Conner probably looked like a huge screaming dork, considering the amount of red he'd managed to drape over his gown and mortarboard -- because wow, school colors were nice and all, and the blue-and-gold looked good, but if it wasn't red it just wasn't him.

Which was to say, since he looked like a huge screaming dork . . . he felt perfectly at ease walking down the aisle.

Hamlet made his way carefully down the aisle towards his seat. The mortarboard hat looked stupid. He felt uncomfortable wearing actual colours for once. Everyone was staring at him. He tried to focus more on the ceremony than his surroundings.
