fandomhigh | Fandom High Graduation Ceremony Class of 2007 Part I

The sun was shining high in the sky above the front lawn (not that this would matter to certain members of the audience since there was a nice awning and shaded pathways). A stage was set up with a podium and several seats for the administration and guests. Off to the side of the stage, a guitar for musical performances.

In front of the stage, blue and gold chairs were set for the largest graduating class in Fandom High history (not that it was a tough record to achieve), and to either side of those chairs were bleachers for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town of Fandom who wanted to wtiness this event.

It was a beautiful day for a graduation.

Marty looked over his shoulder and grinned. "I know you can't be checking out my butt in this get up."

"I can try," Angela teased him. "Do I look like a total dork?"

"Totally," Marty teased back. "Do I look devishly handsome as usual?"

"Like you could look any other way," Angela said.

"So what you're saying is I look like a dork?"

Angela gave him a weird look. "The devilishly handsome one. But if you want me to say you look like a dork ..."

Marty stuck out his tongue. "What I want is an excuse to get out this robe."

Angela shrugged. "Wait an hour or two and we'll be all graduated, and you'll never have to wear the robe again."

"Oh sure," Marty said rolling his eyes. "If you want to be sensible about it."

Angela laughed. "What do you want me to say?" she asked. "No, Marty, the cap and gown will be welded to your skin forever and you will never wear any other clothes?"

"Hey. It's Fandom. Last year they fought an inflatable gremlin," Marty replied. "This could be our weird event."

Angela looked down at her oh-so-flattering gown. "I would take a gremlin," she admitted.

"Me too as long as I didn't end up as Principal Connor again," Marty joked.

Angela snorted, then glanced nervously at John, standing beside her ready to process. "Don't jinx us!"

"I think I still have that outfit for Camilla," Marty whispered.

Angela giggled and rolled her eyes at that.

"Any plans with the gang back home after the ceremony?" Marty asked.

Angela shrugged. "Rayanne's not really the plans type. What about you and Paul?"

"He's demanding that I take him to Caritas and introduce him to some 'honeys'," Marty said rolling his eyes. "Want to come?"

Angela wrinkled her nose. "I think I need to try to chill tonight," she said. "I'll see you guys at brunch, though."
