Faculty Party, The Danger Shop, Thursday afternoon through evening

Invitations had ~~handwavily~~ gone out to all Fandom High faculty:

When the faculty members stepped into the Danger Shop, they saw that it did indeed look like the deck of a cruise ship on a nice, sunny day. There was a snazzy buffet, shuffleboard, deck chairs, a string quartet, and much, much more.

And an open bar.

Above the door leading out of the shop was a banner:

But enough of that. Now it was time to boogie.

[OOC: Post is open all day, huzzah! NPCs are completely free to mod. And, um, sorry about the egregious punnery inside the OCD. This is pretty bad even for me.

ETA: Also, if there are any terrible typos or other general errors anywhere, I wrote this at 3:00 AM. You're lucky I strung three words together, let alone a series of painful puns.]

"If you do it right," Fraser said, just a little bit challenging.

Arashi blinked and then frowned as a rush of jealous anger ran through him. Wait... why the hell did that make him angry? It shouldn't have!! He didn't think anything about Deadpool!

Right? ......fuck.

The ninja raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Okay, now I have to know what you were going to prove."

"And it would be done right," Wade shot back, pointing gleefully at the hat. "Just a friendly competition over this baby."

"That he lost," Fraser said, trying to swipe the hat back.

He stared blankly at them. "You were betting over a hat?" Maybe it was the coming from a completely different culture, but he didn't get it.

"It's a mountie hat!" Because that so means something.

"Nuh-uh!" Deadpool replied, holding the hat behind his back. "I won it fair and square. Not my fault you were so distracted."

"You cheated," Fraser said. "You distracted me unfairly. And it wasn't even a GOOD distraction."

Again, challenging.

Arashi rolled his eyes and gave them a blank stare. "So you two were betting over a 'mountie' hat," wow that sounded dirty. "What was the bet?"

Too bad he didn't realize until a moment after asking that he was probably going to regret it.

Wade was more than a little insulted that he had been called a bad kisser. "It was not bad!"

And to prove his point, he lifted his mask and swept out Fraser's feet to lean him in classic old Hollywood style to give him a deep kiss.

"It was-" All right, that was cut off quickly when Deadpool kissed him AGAIN. And this was unexpected enough that he had to grab onto Deadpool's shoulders to not fall on his rear.

There was that blank look again, 'cept this time there was a heaping dose of flabbergasted thrown in for good measure.

"Oh uh.. well then." That didn't exactly tell him what the bet was, but at this point Arashi didn't really care. He took his drink and wandered off before they were even done kissing. Jealous? Not that he would EVER admit it, but maybe.

Finally done proving his point, Wade pulled Fraser back onto his feet.

"See? I'm an excellent kisser! Right Ara-" Wade looked around. "Where'd he go?"

Fraser blinked a few times after Wade put him back on his feet. "You proved your point. The hat's yours," he said, still a little dazed. "And I didn't see him leave."

"Huh." Wade frowned and looked around the bar. No ninja. "And damn straight the hat is mine! Now you have to go tell the RCMP that you lost it due to excellent kissing."

"Yes, I'll be sure to tell my children and my grandchildren that I was forever ruined for other people by the one kiss of an insane man who took my hat."

He was so lying to the RCMP.

"Aww. I wouldn't say ruined, but that's very nice of you to say. And don't worry, I won't tell Aly about your being an orgy virgin at all." He nodded seriously. "Our little secret."

"And maybe I'll believe you in a few years. She'll just tease me about it," he said. "And I'll be sure to show her the note you sent about bring sexy maple syrup back with me."

And they were back to confusing the merc again. "I never sent you a note. Especially not one about sexy back syrup."

"I got a note from you," Fraser said. "And it was pretty clear what you wanted. I got it yesterday and today you're kissing me so why should I not think it's true?"

"Well, sure there was kissing and that was kinda random, I'm not going to lie. But I wanted this hat and there was no way I was going to lose at gay chicken, damn it."

What was he trying to say again? (The note.) Oh yeah...

"But I never wrote you a note."

"I won't lose again. For my first time playing gay chicken, I didn't do that badly." Fraser said. "Next time. And yes, you wrote me a note. It was on my door. Your handwriting, your name. Your really, really graphic words."

"I think I'd remember writing a note, and if I didn't it would be because I was really drunk and then it wouldn't be legible. No note writing took place here." He paused. "Maybe some one else has a thing for you and maple syrup?"

"You know someone else named Deadpool who likes reality tv?"

Good point. "No..." Wade said slowly.

What if he did send them out and just forget? Not like his brain was all that reliable anymore.

"Well crap. I might have done that then."

Fraser reached up and patted his cheek just because he'd lost and he didn't want to go away totally the loser.

"Maybe in another time," he said as solemnly as he could.
