Ethics [Monday, April 23, 5th period]

Anakin, for once, looked well-rested and relaxed as the class came into the room. "For your final project," he began, "you'll contrast what you learned taking care of eggs versus actual, live younglings." He smiled. "Absolutely no points will be given if all you can come up with is that one doesn't run around or the other one doesn't fit into the refrigerator. What would you have done if the younglings that appeared last week had been here to stay permanently? How would that have affected your summer plans? Or life post-graduation?"

He pointed to a student at random. "Your final discussion begins now."

Walter laughed at the image. "Nadia had her hands full, since Bailey was as fast as I am, but there's no levitation in her future that we know about."

"Count yourself lucky," Anakin said with a grin. "Trudi was a Jedi with mutant powers. Her parents in that other dimension must be exhausted."

Walter nodded. "I think that's something most of the people I've talked to about their kids agreed about."

His expression softened. "But I'd agree to that sort of exhaustion. Just not for many years."
