Anakin, for once, looked well-rested and relaxed as the class came into the room. "For your final project," he began, "you'll contrast what you learned taking care of eggs versus actual, live younglings." He smiled. "Absolutely no points will be given if all you can come up with is that one doesn't run around or the other one doesn't fit into the refrigerator. What would you have done if the younglings that appeared last week had been here to stay permanently? How would that have affected your summer plans? Or life post-graduation?"
He pointed to a student at random. "Your final discussion begins now."

He considered for a moment more.
"The egg wasn't so bad to take care of, though. I could probably do that. She fit nicely into my pocket."

"I'm so sorry to hear that," he said finally, his emotions a confused jumble of childhood traumas and fears for how Luke might've grown up.
