The display screens today were going through a series of images that some students might recognize as pictures related to the mythical continent of Atlantis.

"Atlantis," Sakura said once the students had filed in, passing around a handout. "The earliest known references to this continent date back to Plato’s accounts from 360 BC. Later accounts of it believe it to be the archetypal utopia – the perfect advanced society."

"Orichalcum, the legendary metal of Atlantis, is held to be extremely valuable, second only to gold. We have not actually obtained any yet, although we do believe that it’s likely to exist." Sakura went into a lengthy discussion of Plato’s description of Atlantis, and concluded, "Many adventurers have dreamed of finding the lost continent of Atlantis. No one has succeeded yet that I know of, but I do believe that it’s a worthy goal. And dreams are a crucial part of adventuring, should you choose to make that your career."

"So my question to you: do you believe Atlantis exists? Do you think searching for it is a worthy goal?" She glanced at Evie. “If not, what do you think is a worthwhile, motivating dream for an adventurer to have?"

[OOC: Class Info Post. Sorry for the lame class but I’m still recovering from moving this weekend –- no interaction from me until after about 5:30 PST since I’m still sort of lying low during the day. OCD is up!]

Wyatt and his extremely high hazard level were there.

"Hey Wyatt." Tori smiled, relieved to find that he seemed to be better since the last time they had spoken. "Looks like you and Chris fixed everything?" She was glad of that.

"Hey, Tori," Wyatt said. "Yeah, I can see, and I'm not small and furry anymore." He grinned.

"You were small and furry?" Tori hadn't known about that part. "Well, I'm very happy that you're back to normal."

[OOC: Running to class in a few minutes, be back around 11:15 EST]

"My Aunt Phoee was possessed and turned me into a sugar glider," Wyatt admitted. "Kinda like a flying squirrel. I was like that for a few days last week, it's why I missed class."

"Oh wow." Tori had thought maybe that had something to do with the possessions. "I'm sure you made an adorable sugar glider." She grinned. "I wondered why you hadn't been in class. That's a pretty good reason."

"Yeah, I was a little more concerned with eating, sleeping, and playing at the time," Wyatt said with a laugh.

"Yeah, I can see how that would be more important than class." Tori chuckled.

"So how have you been doing?" Wyatt asked.

[Sorry for the lag; I just came home early from work.]

"I've been doing well, thanks." Tori smiled. "Working at the bookstore and getting things for Saturday. How about you?"

[No problem. :D And yay for getting home early!]

"Saturday?" Wyatt said. "Oh, yeah, prom. You going, I take it?"

"I am, yeah. I wouldn't want to miss it." Tori nodded, smiling.

"I don't know if I'm going," Wyatt said. "I was never much of a dance person at my old school."

"Oh no? Well, it seems like it will be a lot of fun. Especially with the theme being a Night in Venice." Tori smiled.

"Too bad the flood didn't happen now, it would make it more authentic," Wyatt snickered.

"Oh, could you imagine?" Tori couldn't help but laugh at the image formed in her head. "Everyone dressed up and floating along in gondolas."

"Think I'd get in trouble for trying a spell to flood the streets just for the night?" Wyatt said with a wink.

"If you got caught, yes." Tori winked.

"Then I won't get caught," Wyatt said solemnly. "If there happens to be any flooding? I never said anything to you."

"Good plan." Tori smiled. "Flooding? What flooding?" Best innocent face ever.

Dawn was here.

And possibly glaring at the Hazard Level. Because she was completely human, yes.
