Driver's Education - 3rd Period - 4/10

Upon entering the Danger shop, the students might notice something different. Any of them familiar with the X-Mansion in particular as that was what it now appeared to be. Instead of the cute little VW Deadmobile, there was the Blackbird jet ready for driving. Er... flying. Deadpool waved cheerfully at his students.

"Why hello there! Welcome to the team! I don't really recall signing up to train you kids, but sometimes I just get so darn confused as to which team I'm on, doncha know?"

For some reason, Deadpool was under the impression that he was training X-Men.

"I'm everyone's favorite brooding loner with a heart of gold, and I don't quite knoe why, but I'll be showing you how to fly the Blackbird. Sometimes it's tough being the most popular character out there, yah?"

And that he was a certain other Canadian from Weapon X.

"So, ay! Who wants to go first?"

"Did you let them blow anything up?" she asked, slightly confused but not entirely sure it wasn't Deadpool just being crazy.

He waved her off. "Gosh no! That would be to darn dangerous for them."

And now Aly was sure something was weird. She looked at him more carefully and frowned. "Too dangerous? Really. What would be more appropriate?"

"Safer than explosions?" He asked, more than a bit amused. "Plenty of things for the kids to learn. Like maybe some hockey."

"...Hockey," Aly repeated. "Did you eat something strange today? Run through a cloud of odd gas? Maybe go to the cafeteria?"

He thought it over. "Not dat I remember, but you never know around here," Deadverine replied. "Gosh I hope I'm not part of another company wide crossover event."

"Which company?" she asked, coming to a fairly rapid decision that whatever this was, it probably wasn't too dangerous.

"You don't know?"

"I don't. I'm new here."

She certainly looked new. And nowhere near red-headed enough to consider flirting with. "Well, Marvel, of course!"

It was the lack of flirting that amused her the most. "Marvel? And that would make you..." Aly trailed off. "I don't believe we've met."

"Oh ya, how could I forget? Wolverine," He said, offering his hand. "You can call me Logan though."

"How nice to meet you, Logan," Aly replied, taking his hand and shaking it. "I'm Aly."

"A pleasure to meetcha Aly." There was an awkward pause. Gruff loner! Canadian heart of gold! Non-Red head! He was at a loss as to what to talk about. "So..."

He raised his hand and opened his mouth as if to say something. "Ah." Then closed it. "Do-" Nope, nothing still.

Aly was almost struck speechless herself. Because really, the idea of Wade without a hundred and fifty things - most of them nonsensical to say - was both unthinkable and hilarious.

"What do you do with Marvel?" she asked.

He blinked. Finally! Something to talk about. "Oh. Guest star a lot, doncha know."

"No, I don't," Aly replied. "You should tell me about it."

Because no matter what, this deserved as much information to taunt with as possible.

Because Aly was a cruel woman.

"Oh, you know. Help out a few dozen teams. Go on solo adventures. Help other books sell well by being on the cover."

She was. She'd point out that Wade liked that about her later.

"You're a cover boy?"

"Well yah, I guess you could say that."

Aly beamed. "That must take talent."

Finally, something he could talk about easily. "Oh yah yah, it is! Not just anyone can do it."

"I can hardly imagine," she said. "What's your special gift?"

He grinned proudly. "I'm just popular, doncha know."

"I'm sure you are," Aly replied, finding it very difficult not to laugh. "Well, it's been a pleasure meeting you, Logan. If you're around later, I hope to see you again."
