When students arrived for class that day, they would find that desks had been replaced with seats at a long table that was filled with all sorts of . . . interesting food, such as Plomeek soup, Felada onion crisp, Laurelian pudding, Jumbo Romulan mollusk, Rokeg blood pie, and Ktarian chocolate puff, as well as drinks like Traggle nectar and Slug-o-Cola.

"An important part of extraterrestrial civilizations is, of course, their foods," Ellie said. "So today we have a little treat."
