Yes, Sam was in the library on a Saturday. Between his classes and more personal interests, he had more than enough reading to do.

Hermione comes by, mind set on meteorology. "Hello," she greets Sam.

Willow gave a wave. "Hey Hermione."

"Hi," Hermione says brightly. "Are you looking for weather information?"

"Yep," Willow said. "Anything to see if we can't gain a little more control over this whole Poseidon situation."

Hermione blinks and says, "I should have listened to the radio last night, hm?"

"I work there, I tend to listen," Willow said so that Hermione wouldn't feel bad.

"So... Poseidon? As in, Professor Ares would have a thing or two to say about him?" she asks.

"He might," Willow said. "I keep forgetting that we have folks working here who hate when you call it 'mythology'."

"I wish I could forget sometimes," Hermione grumbles. "Do you need help with the research?"

"I never say no to research help," Willow said. "Especially when I know I'm talking with a good note-taker."

Hermione beams at that. "Then you've got whatever help you need."

"You want to start with books and I'll start with surfing?" Willow asked, taking out her laptop.

"This feels familiar," she says with a little smile, already going for the books.

"I believe in proper delegation," Willow said. "Plus my computer gets sad if I don't use it for research purposes at least once a day."

When Hermione returns with a stack of books, she asks, "Does it actually feel sad?"

Ordinarily a dumb question, but not in Fandom.

"It works slower," Willow said. "I don't think that's a coincidence."

"Interesting," Hermione says, taking a seat to flip through a book, pen in hand for notetaking. "I don't use them often. I wouldn't notice a difference."

"You pry my computer out of my cold, dead, hand," Willow replied. "Not you personally. I know you're not trying to steal it. I mean as a general concept by which to indicate my dedication to the use of computers and their kin."

"I got that," she says with a smile. "They seem to be useful enough, though."

"Especially with the connections we get here," Willow said. "That combined with the upgrades Bridge gave me make me a very happy computer user."

"What kind of upgrades?" she wonders, eyes still on the book. She's gotten good at that. "Can it do anything else?"

Willow pushed a button.

"Viola! Chocolate!"

Sam waved at Hermione. "Hey. Want to help us do researchy stuff?"

"Definitely," she says. "What do you need?"

"There are people trying to figure out what's causing the rain, and people trying to figure more out about Poseidon. You can pick which one you'd rather look up, or if you have another idea, that would be brilliant too."
