Yes, Sam was in the library on a Saturday. Between his classes and more personal interests, he had more than enough reading to do.

Angela was halfway just looking for something to read, but she was also curious if anyone knew anything about the rain (and the sea otters), so she popped into the library and headed for the new fiction shelf. "Hey, Sam. You don't know if we're drifting out to sea or something, do you?"

Willow came in with research-face on. "Hey Sam. Mind if me and the books have some quality time?"

Sam smirked. "No, go right ahead. The books like the quality time."

"I can't help it," Willow said. "Disaster-type things happen and I feel a need to research."

"I think it's more like the sea is drifting in to us, with all this rain," Sam replied. "It doesn't seem to be letting up at all out there."

"I think that's a need that's been ingrained in a lot of us from living here," Sam replied.

"You can't say it's not useful," Willow said. "Plus it's nice knowing that when looking to survive it helps to be smart. Or to know people who are just on the odd chance you have really good friends who don't exactly meet that criteria."

Naomi was puzzled about the sudden amount of rain and decided to stop by the library to see if she could find any information about it.

"Hey," Sam said, waving at Naomi. "How's it going?"

"Not even close," Angela said. "I think part of town is underwater, even."

She chewed on a piece of hair. "Maybe it's sinking."

"Being smart is definitely my preferred survival tactic," Sam said. "At least compared to having to try to shoot and kill things."

"I can handle a tranq gun when I have to," Willow said, "but after that I prefer my weapons to be brains or spells."

"That's a really unpleasant thought. I know some of the stores are having problems. I tried to get to the Perk today, and it wasn't even worth the effort of wading."

"I really wish I could find a shirt that says 'Latin is my weapon of choice,' if only to watch my dad flip out at me if I wear it."

Willow stared at him. "You realize we so need to make that shirt now."

Hermione comes by, mind set on meteorology. "Hello," she greets Sam.

Angela looked more worried. "I guess the school is safer because we're up a little?" she ventured. "Are you doing any research about this?"

Willow gave a wave. "Hey Hermione."

"Hi," Hermione says brightly. "Are you looking for weather information?"

"Yep," Willow said. "Anything to see if we can't gain a little more control over this whole Poseidon situation."

"If you can figure out a way to get it done, I'd totally wear it," Sam said, grinning.

Hermione blinks and says, "I should have listened to the radio last night, hm?"

"I work there, I tend to listen," Willow said so that Hermione wouldn't feel bad.

"I was doing homework, but I think I'll start researching this instead," Sam replied. "Maybe there's information on floods that could help."
