Sam didn't appear to be in the best of moods as he went to open the library, even with extra coffee in his hands.

"I hear it's traditional," Alec said slowly.

"Well, yeah, I guess it is," Sam replied, casually fingering the inside of the cap to check for anything sharp. "But most people usually just get things for their family and friends."

"Well, thanks," Sam said awkwardly. "I never got a set of the ears when Dean and I went to Disney World."

"No, our trip was thankfully imp-free," Sam said, laughing. "I'm sorry you guys had to deal with something like that."
