Gun Club, noon

Parker put up the sign with the rules.

SAFETY RULES:

· TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY WERE LOADED

· KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL READY TO FIRE

· BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT’S BEYOND

· ALWAYS WEAR HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION

· NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE OR WHILE SHOOTING.

· CHECK IN ALL WEAPONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RANGE.

"This is a pretty informal club; we're basically here to answer your questions, help those who are new to weapons, and allow a free trade of information about guns." Parker looked around at those present. "That said, if you have suggestions for anything else for the Club this semester, please feel free to talk to me. We usually have at least one Lazer Tag weekend, and I'm hoping to get some help with moving targets this semester.

"New people? Come see me to get ear and eye protection, and be given the safety lecture, especially if you don't have any previous experience."

"Ah!" Parker lifted her foot, then paused with it extended in the air, and glared at the teeny cute mouse clinging to her leg. "Oh, you, buddy, are living a charmed life."

He flipped his ears at her and twitched his whiskers smugly, before nimbly climbing higher. //It's me. What did you expect?//

"Hey hey hey." Parker put her hand out and caught him before he got over her kneecap. "No climbing higher! Sheesh, I don't let you do that when you're human, what are you thinking?" She cradled him in one hand, and gave him a sardonic look. "Are you so bored you had to come looking for me?"

//Just trying to get higher, Parker.// Jack shook his head as he stood up on his back legs, one paw on her finger for balance, and shaped his other into a wee gun shape, then pointed at himself.

Parker chortled, and stroked down the back of his head along his spine. "At least you have opposable thumbs this time, hmm? Pity they don't make Smith & Wesson's in your size."

He arched into her finger, then rubbed his head against it before nodding emphatically. //That would be perfect. Anything trying to eat me would get a hell of a surprise.//

Another pat on top of his head, and Parker cocked hers. "Want me to take you back when I get done here? And do you just want to ride along in my jacket?" She grinned. "Nod and shake your head for those questions."

Jack nodded once, and then nodded again. //Perfect. It took me a long time to get here. And this school has too many cats.//

Parker tucked him in the pocket of her jacket, shaking her head. Jack popped his head out, looking around like he was on tour. "Only at this school does 'will serve as transportation when you're ultra-tiny' count as a condition of friendship."
