Detention, Saturday, February 24

As the students entered the Danger Shop, they noticed that they were on a rooftop with The Tick standing at the edge of the roof overlooking the cityscape. He held a clipboard in one hand.

Katara
Sokka
Samantha Carter
Melaka Fray
Charles Kawalsky
Ray Kowalski
Alex Krycek
Jaye Tyler
Will Vandom
Turtle Wexler
Layla Williams

When everyone had shown up, he turned around and smiled. "Good morning, detentioned students! I am The Tick and I shall be your detention instructor today! Today I'll be showing you the ins and outs of Wrong. You see this city? It's based on The City, my Home Away From Fandom! The City is known for many things. Good diners. Science that is both mad and beneficial. And the never-ending struggle between good and evil, all dressed up in tights! Since you're here, it's assumed that you may be branching out to the evil side of that struggle, so I'm going to show you first-hand that crime doesn't pay!"

"You'll be undergoing a series of simulations as the villain. When you try to do your dastardly deeds, a random hero of The City will come out to thwart you! Don't take these thwartings personally, though. It's our job. The superhero is the Telemarketer of Justice and villains are sitting at home, not expecting to be bothered, but bothered they are because their home is a robot that's destroying a bank and then a call comes asking if you'd like to order some law! And the villain says no, but after some stuggle he's convinced to do so! The only difference here is that instead of better rates on their phone bill or weekdays AND Sundays for newspaper delivery, they just purchased a stay in prison."

"There are some costumes in a box there if you really want to get into the whole theme, but they're optional and completely school appropriate."

[OOC: Sorry for getting it up a little later than intended. Writer's block followed by icon making = slight delay. I'll be around all day. Playing 17 NPCs. *sighs at self*

Information on the heroes can be found here and a videoclip with some of them is here!

For the record, I know there are people who will be signing in late in the day. I am totally cool with that. I never want to stop playing this detention until my brain explodes, so I'm good to play it out however long it takes. :D]

Trying to be an evil capitalist supervillian worked up an appetite and Turtle was alway enthusastic about greasy food that was bad for her. She bounced a little as she sat and ate. She was thinking about her manifesto.

Mel ordered a burger and sat down for what was hopefully a peaceful lunch.

Sam got a tuna melt and fries and sat down across from Mel. "Hi, I don't think we've met. I'm Sam Carter."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] cantjossme.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Mel Fray," she said with her mouth full of burger. "Damn glad to meet 'ya."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] carter-i-am.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
"You too," Sam ate a fry. "So, liking it here okay? And I'm saying that assuming you're a new student and that's the reason I don't know you, instead of my own obliviousness."

Re: Lunch

"This place? It's pretty frakking weird," Mel replied with a grin. "Is it wrong that I love it?"

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] carter-i-am.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
She grinned. "Nope. I'd actually be more worried if you didn't. Been here for an invasion yet?"

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] cantjossme.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
"No," Mel pouted. "And I totally missed fighting those shadow thingies."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] carter-i-am.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
"I was lucky to enough to avoid them. Jack? Not so much." She grimaced and dragged a fry through the ketchup, then dropped it on the side of her plate.

"Yeah. I hear that intangible thing sucked," Mel replied.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] carter-i-am.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
"That's definitely one way of putting it." Terrifying was another, not that she'd mention it. "Luckily, it ended quickly."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] cantjossme.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah," Mel replied. "Good thing for everyone but not to sound ungrateful? I hope something happens soon."

Re: Lunch

Sam scooted over and glanced over her shoulder. It looked like the robot damage had been repaired. "Careful what you wish for, is all I'm saying. You have training?"

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] cantjossme.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
"Getting it," Mel replied poking at her burger. "At least more formal stuff."

Jaye's learned how to eat with three-pronged hands, so she gets a burger and fries, and is all about the bitter and greasy.

And she does not have an eating disorder, Seely and Jamie. Ha.

Katara took some food and found a seat.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] sarcasm-guy.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
Sokka slid into the seat next to Katara, carrying a plate full of meat. Meat and bread. And potatoes. And gravy. And meat.

"This is fun!" he said to her.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] southernbender.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
She laughed at him. "Yeah, it is. Detentions usually are."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] sarcasm-guy.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
"Then what's the point?" Sokka asked. "T-H-E P-O-I-N-T."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] southernbender.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
"Umm...are you okay?" she asked, staring at him.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] sarcasm-guy.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Fine," Sokka said. "F-I-N-E." Then he realized.

"OH! Yeah, this happened at the assembly. H-A-P-P-E-N-E-D A-T T-H-E A-S-S-E-M-B-L-Y. Spelling bees. S-P-E-L-L-I-N-G B-E-E-S."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] southernbender.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
She almost fell over laughing. "I am so glad I didn't go. Do you spell everything?" She paused. "Wait, how do you KNOW how to spell all of that?"

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] sarcasm-guy.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
Sokka grinned at her slyly. "I don't," he said. "D-O-N-apostrophe-T"

Then he pulled out the pages of notes he was occasionally taking on the things he said, and waggled his eyebrows.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] southernbender.livejournal.com 2007-02-25 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
Her eyes widened. "That's the best plan EVER. Can I have copies of them?"
