Library [02/13]

Sam came to open the library armed with tea instead of his usual coffee. For once, he was more concerned about staying warm than staying awake.

"The words 'Sam', 'vision' and 'me killing you' were used in a sentence." Parker smirked a very tiny bit. "Any of them really far off from the truth?"

Sam couldn't help but laugh softly as he shook his head. "No, that's all pretty accurate. I have these weird visions sometimes, of things that are going to happen. And I had one of Blair killing you. It didn't take a whole lot of effort to figure out that there was something really wrong with that."

"Definitely. On so many levels, not to impugn Blair's manhood again." Parker smiled, then held out her hand to Sam. "Thanks. I owe you and your family big-time. I know you would have done it anyway, but, well... I appreciate that it was done partly on my behalf."

Sam smiled and took Parker's hand. "You're welcome. I'm just glad everything turned out all right."

Parker squeezed his hand, then dropped it. "Yeah. As okay as it could, really. I'll thank your brother and your dad later, but if you need anything-- well, you know where to call."

Hopefully he'd never need to cash in on that, but Sam figured it definitely didn't hurt to be on Parker's good side. "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks."
