Coffee. Laptop. Bridge. Library. You know the drill.

"Okay, but I still wish the soprano over there wasn't doing a Celine Dion imitation," Angela said. "Also, I'm worried the chairs will start heckling."

"I feel like I should have brought popcorn," Bridge says with a snicker.

"Twizzlers, too," Angela said, laughing. "So have they been doing this all day?"

"Well, the singing only just started, but when I got here? All the chairs were arguing about which one I was going to sit in."

Angela looked at a stool, which let out only a muffled "oof" as she perched on it. "Did they want to be 'it' or 'not it'?" she asked, logically.

"They were yelling 'pick me!' 'pick me!'," Bridge says, using a squeaky voice for the chairs, "when I got here this morning."

"That," Angela said, twirling on her stool, makes me feel sad for all the chairs that don't get sat on. Poor lonely chairs."

"They like feeling useful, I guess," Bridge muses. "Maybe we should give them all a turn?"

"Like chair round robin?" Angela asked, then turned to the chairs. "Would you guys like that?"

She rolled her eyes. "I can't believe I'm consulting with furniture."

"...I'd say that's a yes," Bridge says, judging from the excited bouncing and incoherent squeaks that erupt from the chairs at Angela's question.

Angela giggled and started to move from chair to chair every few minutes. "I think this is a new sport."

Bridge, who is doing much the same, can't help but laugh as well. "Chair-hopping: the latest trend to sweep the nation."
