It might have been a futile endeavour, but River had gone to the library in search of books on how to fly squirrel-built spacecrafts. When she saw Bridge, she waved smiled. "How are you?"
River knew that lying to Bridge was pointless. "Better," she said. At least she had a plan - and that plan was clear in her mind - and that was an improvement.
"Danger's my middle name," Bridge says. "Okay, maybe it isn't, but that's only because my dad managed to convince my mom to give me something more normal. Apparently the altitude and the painkillers made her a bit loopy."
And yes, he'd only *just* had a conversation with Xander yesterday about this tendency to head right in to dangerous situations without warning. And here he was doing it again.
River just nodded quickly. Any qualms she might have had about leading her friends into danger seemed to vanish as soon as they were aware of danger existing. She reached out and took Bridge's hand, giving him a clear picture of what this was about. Her dreams, finding the name Miranda, asking friends for help to find out what all this was really about.
"Saturday morning. Junkyard. Bring stuff you need." River was confident that considering her friends they would between themselves bring everything that might be useful on a trip like this.
