Library [02/02]

Rory came in bright and early and smacked a poster on the door before positioning herself behind the desk as usual with her coffee.

She grabbed a stack of books, and spent the day deep in research - both her own personal problem, and for the problems with the shadows.

[I'm AFK most of the day, so please mod Rory if you need help with something. Wait for OCD is up and a little different today. Please wait for further OCD on the specific research thread, as it will be coming later while I am unconscious and people in Europe are not. That OCD is up, too! Whooooo!]

Cameron was feeling more than a little bit useless. As he didn't want to hover, he forced himself to sit to the side. There wasn't much he could do right now as he couldn't even open a book and he'd told everyone as much information as he could. Still, he was sitting close enough so that he could overhear what was being said.

Cameron nodded at Irulan and motioned around the library. "The sign worked," he said.

"It did indeed." Irulan agreed, surveying the room. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm trying not to think about it," he said honestly. "You don't look like you've had a run in, though. So that's something."

"I was there when Parker was attacked," She said, quietly, haunted. "I have taken care since then to never be in one place too long, lest I too be attacked."

"Parker got hit too?" Cameron asked. It seemed stupid to ask if she was okay so he didn't. "Damn, I'm so going to be owing people." He decided against pointing out that these things didn't seem to care where you were and for how long.

Katara approached Cameron looking determined. "Hi. Are you okay?"

"Had better days," he said honestly. "But I think that's kind of obvious. Thanks for coming."

She started to pour Cameron a cup of hot chocolate. "I'm not sure how much help I can be with the research, but I can make people eat chocolate." She nodded. "It's good against evil spirits."

Cameron smiled. "I think you're settling right in here if you're already seeing chocolate as medicine."

Katara handed Cameron the cup, making sure he was able to hold onto it. "I think chocolate's good for everything, but Dr. Orpheus even said that it had healing properties."

Cameron didn't move to take the cup and he shook his head regretfully. "That smells great, but I don't think I can," he said softly. It didn't help that he completely forgot about eating yesterday and now he was hungry and slightly worried that he might starve before this thing got fixed.

"Cam!" Molly was surprised to see that he was worse than yesterday. "Did they get you again?"

Cameron nodded. "Yeah, they got me last night after I put up the sign. You?"

Molly shook her head. "I stayed in bed until just before class and then I came here. I guess I got lucky." She looked at him carefully. "Can you be solid at all right now?"

Grimacing, he shook his head. "No, I can't touch anything anymore."

"I'm so sorry, Cam," she said apologetically.

"Not your fault," said the guy who was totally blaming this thing all on himself. "We'll get things fixed soon. I'm hungry."

Tori spotted Cam and walked over to him. "Hey." He looked somewhat down and she hoped everything was okay, though being attacked by shadows a scary thing to experience.

"Hey Tori," Cameron greeted, looking up at her. "Did you get hit too?"

"I did." Tori nodded, a rueful smile appearing on her face. "Are you okay?"

"About as okay as you," he said. "With some added guilt as to being the cause of this. I'm sorry and I totally owe you ice cream or something."

"You couldn't have known, so therefore it is not your fault." Tori reasoned. "Apology not needed." She shook her head. "But I'll take ice cream any day." Tori winked.
