“Since I know writing thrills the pants off of all of you I’m sorry to say I decided to maybe try something a little different today. You made two characters last week and I want you to get to know them a little better. Today you’re going to choose one of them, partner up and act like they would in one of these situations. Your character can take any role in the situation. Choose which would fit them best I suppose. You can pick.” He hands out a sheet that reads:

Falsely accused of something
Driving to the zoo
Stuck in an elevator
Choosing a movie to see
Seeing the thing you most fear
Getting an outfit for a date

“Do whatever. Just don’t be too loud, got it? I want you to fill this out for homework as the character that you didn’t play today. I’m up here if you need me.” He proceeds to turn his attention to his laptop. He’s working towards an impending deadline as usual.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Yuki." Turtle had the grin of someone who wanted something.

"Need something Wexler?" He looks up from his laptop annoyed.

Turtle offers him what she hopes in a winning smile. "Perhaps. I'm here to offer you the opprotunity of a lifetime, Mr. Yuki."

"Facinating." He looks down at his laptop again. He sees no sense in paying attention to her. "Well I'm ALL ears kiddo." Funny... that doesn't sound very sincere.

Turtle chuckled a little. Oh, Mr. Yuki, trying to be all cool by pretending he didn't care.

"I know you totally want to be the advisor for my business club," she said, with a firm nod. "I was going to ask Mr. Deadpool, but then I remember that you're so much cooler, and, therefor, a much better canidate for the position."

Damn. That little snake had built a snare into that one. "Are you aware Miss Wexler, that I'm a professional novelist currently holding two jobs?"

Oh, and Turtle is so sure that being a 'professional novelist' is a real demanding occupation. Still, she nodded with the utmost serious consideration to his...high accomplishments of industriousness. "Of course. At the same time, though, Mr. Yuki, I'm a fourteen year old balancing four different high-yeild stocks on the market, attending school as well as a job, for a business in which I am also partner. Surely, if I can find the time to run a club, you can find the time to be there for purely administrative and technical purposes."

She flashed another grin. She didn't even really want Mr. Yuki as the advisor. She just wanted to see if she could win this.

"28, Wexler."

Turtle wasn't sure she followed. "28?"

"That's how many novels I've written and gotten published. Do you know how old I am?"

Yeah, Turtle was so sure that was impressive. The whole reason she was taking this class was to prove that writing was easy and anyone, even her, could do it. So far, her theory was testing out well. Yuki'd yet to say anything bad about her writing, except that she needed to work on detail.

"...Thirty...eight?" she guessed.

"WHAT?!" Yuki coughed a bit. "22 Wexler! I'm only 22!"

It wasn't in Nova's nature to whine, but he did give Yuki a long stare full of his discomfort over the assignment.

He happens to notice the glace and glares back. After talking to Turtle he was so not in the mood. "Don't make me come over there hoodface."

He wanted Yuki's attention, even if the attention that he got wasn't exactly what he intended. Nova thought it best to try and reason with Yuki, taking time to think of what to say. He didn't exactly see himself as an actor.

"I mean it. Come over here or go partner up. Quit looking at me like a kicked puppy."

Nova gathered the courage to go an talk to Yuki. It wasn't like he could kill him in front of the whole class or anything.

"I don't think I can act," he said with a serious frown on his face. He kept some distance between Yuki and himself, just to be safe.

"You don't have to perform infront of anyone. Just pretend. No one's going to see but the person you're working with."

"What if I can't...pretend?"

What was with the games this week....

"Are you afraid of me Nova?"

"You...?"

His eyes widened and he stared at Yuki for a while. He wasn't sure if he should actually answer that question.

"Look. You didn't say yes. You can pretend after all. Now go work."

Nova blinked not sure of what had just happened. He couldn't help but stare at Yuki, confused now.

"NOVA." He says sharply. "NOW."
