Creative Writing Period 6, 1/31

“Since I know writing thrills the pants off of all of you I’m sorry to say I decided to maybe try something a little different today. You made two characters last week and I want you to get to know them a little better. Today you’re going to choose one of them, partner up and act like they would in one of these situations. Your character can take any role in the situation. Choose which would fit them best I suppose. You can pick.” He hands out a sheet that reads:

Falsely accused of something
Driving to the zoo
Stuck in an elevator
Choosing a movie to see
Seeing the thing you most fear
Getting an outfit for a date

“Do whatever. Just don’t be too loud, got it? I want you to fill this out for homework as the character that you didn’t play today. I’m up here if you need me.” He proceeds to turn his attention to his laptop. He’s working towards an impending deadline as usual.

What's your name?
How old are you?
Which is more important- life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness?
What do you hate about yourself?
How long is your hair?
What movie genre best describes your life?
What country were you born in?
What country do you live in now?
Do people trust your judgment?
Do you think of yourself as a control freak?
Do you procrastinate?
Should good always win?
Should good ever lose?
Do you enjoy making people laugh?
Is there anything you'd willingly give your life for? What?
If you were God for a day, what would be the first thing you do?
If you saw someone shoplifting in an exclusive store, what would you do?
Do you intend on being famous someday?
What do you call home, your house or where you were born, or someplace far far away?
Are you in bad company when you are alone?
Do you like to gamble?
Would you kiss a stranger?
Do you feel guilty often?
What's the farthest you've ever gone with someone of the opposite sex?
Do you enjoy it when people notice you?
Have you been caught doing something you shouldn't have been? What was it?
What is your current occupation?
What did you want it to be when you were little?
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Kissed anyone lately?
Ever been drunk before?
Have you made plans for tomorrow?
Have you killed anything?
Do you consider yourself to be beautiful?
Do you consider yourself to be a talkative person?
Do you consider yourself to be a brave person?

((ooc: Have fun? Feel no obligation to atually fill out the homework of course!))

Oh, and Turtle is so sure that being a 'professional novelist' is a real demanding occupation. Still, she nodded with the utmost serious consideration to his...high accomplishments of industriousness. "Of course. At the same time, though, Mr. Yuki, I'm a fourteen year old balancing four different high-yeild stocks on the market, attending school as well as a job, for a business in which I am also partner. Surely, if I can find the time to run a club, you can find the time to be there for purely administrative and technical purposes."

She flashed another grin. She didn't even really want Mr. Yuki as the advisor. She just wanted to see if she could win this.

Turtle wasn't sure she followed. "28?"

Yeah, Turtle was so sure that was impressive. The whole reason she was taking this class was to prove that writing was easy and anyone, even her, could do it. So far, her theory was testing out well. Yuki'd yet to say anything bad about her writing, except that she needed to work on detail.

"...Thirty...eight?" she guessed.

Turtle shrugged. So she was a bit off. Wasn't like this was math class, or something, and, once you went past a certain age, you may as well be dead, anyway. Mr. Yuki? Almost there.

She then considered this. That was only two years older than Angela. Angela certainly'd never done anything like publish a book. Still...

"Were any of those books published by the time you were fourteen?" she asked.

Turtle blinked. And, apparantly, now Mr. Yuki felt like writing his autobiography and beta-testing it on Turtle. She wasn't even sure she understood half of that.

"Never an assassin, no, but I have lived with an anonymous murderer, so at least you know who to watch out for, right? But you're right, Mr. Yuki. You clearly have too much of your time being taken up by the crazy, so I'll just go ask Mr. Deadpool. I prefer my advisor to have at least a tiny," with hand motion to indicate, "bit of sanity."

...You know it's got to be bad when someone considers Deadpool more sane than you. Really.

Turtle really couldn't help smirking as she, with a quirked brow, looked Mr. Yuki in the eyes as instructed. "Well, duh," she said. "I actually wanna make money."
