Sam was muttering a few choice phrases related to his alarm clock as he rushed to open the library.

Sam puttered around kind of quietly, in case Ms. Readman was still in her office.

Second Period [01/30]

Then Sam got onto the Spooky Things message board he'd been frequenting, and tried not to get into any arguments about what they did right on the show, and what they didn't.

Third Period [01/30]

Judging from the look on Sam's face, it's possible that trying not to argue didn't last very long.

Fourth Period [01/30]

After forcing himself to close the message board window, Sam had gone to check his e-mail. That definitely didn't improve his mood.

Dawn came in to the library, looking a little shaken. She'd just checked her e-mail, as well. "So, where's the demonology section?"

"It's back there," Sam said, pointing, before giving Dawn a weary look. "Why?" He knew perfectly well why she wanted to go back there, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to let her.

"Bel," Dawn said with a sigh. "I want to see if there's maybe a way to save his soul, or if it's been destroyed and we just need to kill him."

"I guess that's worth checking out," Sam replied. "Just so you know, I'm going to add some new protections on our room this afternoon, just in case."

Dawn nodded. "Yeah, that was my next thought. Anything I need to know about? And do you have Willow's amulet?" Before he could ask, she pulled hers out of her shirt and showed it to him. She was also wearing the one Alanna had given her, and she had a small cross in her pocket. "Think it's too much to have someone bless the pipes into the laundry room?"

"There's nothing you really need to worry about, but if you notice an extra line of salt here and there, you'll know why," Sam said, smirking softly. "I have Willow's amulet in the room, and I'll be sure to grab it. And I think blessing the pipes might be taking precautions a bit too far."

Lunch [01/30]

The library was closed for lunch, except to aides and the librarian.

Sam? Still at the computer.

Fifth Period [01/30]

Sam had gone back into the stacks to look for any books that might have helpful information. There's a bell on the desk if you need his attention.

Sokka, armed with a stack of notes from the teevee, pulls a random book off the shelf, sits down with it, opens it to a random page, and starts attempting to read it. It doesn't help that he's picked one with big words in it, but he looks back and forth between the book and his notes and manages to sound some words out under his breath. He takes more notes.

Sam came out from the bookshelves with some books of his own, and noticed that someone had come in. "Hey," he said, giving Sokka a friendly smile. "Do you need any help with anything?"

"Nope!" Sokka squeaked, caught off guard. He left the book open, but covered up his notes.

"Just readin'," he explained.

Sam's eyes widened a little and he took a step back, trying to look as harmless as possible. "I was just making sure, that's all. If you do need anything, I'll be over there," he said, pointing to the desk.

Sixth Period [01/30]

Sam was still researching, but he'd brought his books back to the counter.

Tori had finished looking through the books on mystical artifacts and decided to bring them back to the library. She was hoping to come across titles dealing with shape-shifting, after getting the e-mail from Parker last night.

She smiled when she saw Sam at the counter. "Hey Sam."

"Well, I was wondering if there was anything here on shapeshifting?" Tori asked, figuring Sam had gotten the mass wide e-mail.

"There is, but they're not exactly where they should be," Sam replied, smirking as he pointed to the stack of books next to him. "I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you're probably looking for the same reason I am?"

Seventh Period [01/30]

Sam took his time in making sure everything was put away properly before closing up the library for the day.
